Donât be put off by the modest exterior or furnishings of this establishment, this restaurant is a little gem. During a two week stay in Turin, al Solto Posto became my preferred eating place for lunch and dinner. Fresh pasta al dente is made daily to suite the most fastidious Italian eater. Combined with uncomplicated delicious dishes, this restaurant is nearly always full. The Farinata (chick pea pancake antipasti) is to die for and all the pasta dishes come with a rich enticing aroma. As if that were not enough, you can eat here for almost nothing.

The restaurant is really cozy and friendly. There are no menus, dishes are prepared on a day to day basis depending on the available fish. Great experience, I strongly recommend it to have a Sicilian taste in the middle of busy Torino and definitely at a reasonable price (i.e. 75⬠for 2 - complete meal). Totally worth a visit.

We went there to eat the special mushrooms menu (available only few days). We had three starters, two first courses and a second course, plus a dessert. Everything was very good, the only problem is that the service was very slow!

Although a little out of the way, this restaurant carries a pleasant ambience, menu with variety of dishes and excellent service. The menu offers a choice of different meats or pasta and risotto prepared in the pietmontese style. Overall service was attentive and unonstrusive. I was introduced to Ri' Ciacci by a friend of a friend, of a... well you get it.From the winding street beneath the chapel of La Superga in Torino you might not even see this restaurant. It's simple, understated and - in the end - marvelous!You enter Ri' Ciacci off a simple garden into a very well appointed formal dining room. There is an upstairs with a balcony that is equally as charming and refined.From the simple menu posted near the entrance to the building there are two choices: alla carta or family style dining ( a kind of prix fix menu). We chose to be surprised.I can't recall the names of everything we ate but I can tell you that the flavors were the most fresh, most simple yet most complex, and the most tasty, that I've ever had. As a chef I'm still trying to incorporate those flavors now that I'm back home.The antipasti plate was beautiful and had flavors I'd never experienced before. Of the other dishes:The pasta was hand made. The beef - braised in burgundy wine. (Sorry, I'm taking a minute to salivate from the memories.)Rita - the owner and (as I discovered later) chef of Ri' Ciacci has been doing this for 61 years. And I hope she's still doing it for many years to come.Ri' Ciacci's - don't blink or you'll miss out on a culinary memory.

Minimalist elegant interior, friendly service, wonderful dishes with brilliant presentations.Try the "traditional menu" or select from the menu. The choice is kind of limited, but each dish is special, well presented.I have advised the chef to increased a tad the salt, but I am sure many would not agree with me.I will go back soon.Grazie per averci scelto e per averci recensito signor Felipe. Ogni critica per noi è importante perché il risultato finale lo stabilisce sempre il cliente. Speriamo di poterla riavere come ospite. Saluti da tutto lo staff

This place was great. First of all the menu is unique, featuring particular dishes that you can rarely find somewhere else; every single course is very well prepared, giving particular attention also to the esthetics of the dish; flavours have been carefully chosen and mixed, the plating is colorful and creative.The staff was attentive and the service was quick, the waiting time between courses was very short; even the chef himself came to our table to make sure everything was fine! Finally, the bill was very correct and the atmosphere created by the furniture and the staff is cozy and friendly.I'll certainly come back to try other dishes and the pizza!

Althought located in a remote street close to highway, this family restaurant will make you spend a very nice night.Family atmosphere, superb dishes.Try the fresh fish, you will be amazed to find such gorgeous fresh fish in a town like Torino.Don't ask for menu, the lady owner will tell you by heart all the dishes of the day, on the contrary you will have a menu for wines, good selection of both red and whites.

I went this restaurant with my friend .. you can find seafood and pizza .. i ate special spaghetti with seafood which is served with special plate .. my friends ate pizza they said pizza is not extraordinary normal , and my meal also not super but not bad .. medium level. Also another friend ate grilled fish and calamari .. if i have to give point I can give 7 but not more .. if you have more than 2 people who want to eat different meals , yes this place can be your choice. .

Visited on several occasions with family, on the most recent occasion asked for Farinata which was on the regular menu, only required two portions, only to be told there wasn't any because they would have to make it purposely and two people were not enough! Shame really as the pizzas are very good, until this point we found the staff pleasant too. Have not returned since.
