Popped in here on our way up from Eastbourne back to London. Was suprised to get seated so quickly as it was very busy with live music in the garden. Received a warm welcome from the lady serving the carvery which looked tasty but she advised we wait 5 minutes while they put fresh food out. Was so full from the delicious roast that we couldn't manage a desert that comes with it. The waitress insisted we pick something to take home with us. Can't recommend this place enough.

This is a stylish, chic, special venue. If you donât like seafood and Champagne/Prosecco, donât bother. If you donât appreciate fine food prepared with love, stay clear! This is a special place for romance, business, celebration or simply appreciation. We had the oysters to stray, which were lovely, accompanied by a bottle of Prosecco. Just wonderful. Then we had the lemon sole on the bone, simply grilled with a marinade/sauce. The new potatoes and green beans were a good addition. Their (red) Primitivo is very special, silky smooth and full of fruit. Quite outstanding. What a wonderful evening with friends: quiet, sophisticated, great service, and superb cuisine.

The George & Dragon in Speldhurst is a traditional 13th Century Inn with roaring log fires and dramatic oak beams. In May 2017 Silverlake Leisure took over the pub with the aim to provide a pub that not only sold local bitters and good wines, but local, s
Came here for a lunch with a couple of friends. Got served by an interesting lady who looked like she had just been dragged through a hedge backwards. Her manner towards us was disgusting. We then found out she was the manager. Food is ok but lacked interest. Menu could do with some work. Also on a side note a very odd older lady with white hair was shouting about the place in a very disruptive manner. Very much put us off coming back. All in all seems to be a very unprofessional establishment and will not be returning.Sorry to hear about your experience. I am the new manager since early September and am ensuring that high standards are adhered too vigorously. I have employed a number of new staff with experience to ensure events like you encountered do not happen again.
