we hadn't been here in a while; it's a little on the pricy side. However, this was a spectacular dinner! Simple ingredients such as spinach as a side dish....sooo good. Lamb chops that I ordered were probably the best I had ever eaten. My husband had beef filet with green pepper sauce and he was going "mmmhhhh". All accompanied by great wines, the Prosecco with our starters (antipasto), a Cabernet Franc from the Bellia winery in Pramaggiore and a super Raboso.Good dinner, good company in a nice environment. We will come back!

We've been here before; last summer and sat outside. Already then it was a fabulous dinner. I recently discovered Groupon and purchased 2 tickets for 4 person each, so 8 total, mixed grill, wine and water. We decided to use these groupons to celebrate our friend's birthday. I tried to reserve a table for 8 through 'my table' but had problems as their system only gave me a table for 4 and one for 2. I then called the restaurant and was told 'no problem, we'll take care of it'. Very friendly phone call to boot. So we finally arrived there last night, 4 couples and obviously we ordered beyond the groupon deal. We had some prosecco and appetizers beforehand and then the absolutely magnificent grigliata was offered. Really well done! One of the best ones I've ever eaten. At no time, we felt like second class customers because we had that groupon deal. Outstanding service, outstanding food in an outstanding environment. We will definitely return!!!

This is my second visit to Osteria Borgo Ronche and I was not disappointed! The dishes are delicate, refined and absolutely delicious. Enrico speaks enough English to help people like me that speak minimal Italian! The price is very reasonable and the wine recommendations are always perfect! I HIGHLY recommend!

My husband and I visited here a few weeks ago and WOW! Pordenone can be quite a difficult place to find great food AND great service but this hit well above the mark on both. Attentive serving staff who couldnât do enough (and could speak multiple languages!) Unlike other restaurants Iâve been to in Pordenone it has more of a contemporary atmosphere that I think is less touristic and more a place where the locals would go for dinner or an âaperitivoâ. We will absolutely be back! Thanks a lot Hannah...we strive to offer something different and a more contemporary atmosphere in a lovely Town like Pordenone. We also really care for our non italian speakers and guests from around the world. Your kind words really makes us proud and happy. We have new "cicchetti" for the aperitivo and hope you'll come back soon to try them. Thanks so much!

Today was the second time we tried this place. The first time my husband brought home some fried rice. It was rubbery and tasted old. I thought eating in the restaurant might be better so we tried again and the rice was still bad and very salty. The fried wontons were a horrible thick pastry filled with some sort of grey mush that we couldnât tell what it was. The sweet and sour chicken was mushy and flavorless. Sweet and sour sauce was weird and seemed like it was just thickened by a bunch of corn starch. The beef and broccoli had beef that was mushy and tasted like fish. We ate a few bites and left the entire meal to go somewhere else. I was hoping to love this place since I can walk to it from my house but I wonât be giving them a third chance.

just got back from a nice evening with a friend. For me this is the best Japanese place I've eaten at in this area. Very clean cut ambiente, friendly staff and really good food. We had tuna tartare, the big sashimi special plate and some mixed tempura. Excellent quality for a good price. Will be back!

Service was absolutely wonderful! Waiters spoke great English. Food was wonderful. Red snapper and veal was excellent. Also, ask for the Strawberry Steak. Not on the menu, but a specialty nonetheless! Environment was very relaxing as well.

The high quality, the freshness of the ingredients and the preparation on the spot will make you enjoy the pleasure of sushi.
We recently had dinner at Shi's based on recommendations from a friend. I made a reservation as we were told this restaurant is very popular. By the time we finished our meals, patrons were being turned away as the restaurant was full. The locale is decorated with a modern, sheik motif, having various dining room areas. Tables were set with straw placemats and wooden disposable chopsticks. Regardless of our reservation, we were seated close to the entrance and cashier/take out pick up area. Lots of pedestrian traffic afforded a limited private dining experience. There were so many people with dogs, I had to check to make sure that dog was not listed on the menu. There was indeed, an extensive menu highlighting authentic Japanese cuisine. The kitchen is staffed by Japanese chefs; not Chinese people trying to pass as Japanese. You'll find the real deal at Shi's and the food was pretty tasty. I had the Miso soup, edamame, pasta noodles stir-fried with shrimp and sea bass and a 12 piece order of Sashimi. The raw fish was fresh and I didn't become ill. My problem with this restaurant is that they bring your food to table all at once and the tables are very small and unable to accommodate the food. We were cramped for space and eating was a challenge. Service, for the most part, was friendly and efficient, though a few of our ordered items got lost in the mix. Waiters and waitresses spoke Italian and some English as they tended to our special requests. As previously mentioned, Shi's offers both take-out and home delivery orders. This led to a lot of people milling around as they waited for their orders to be prepared. Prices seemed to be reasonable for the amount of food we consumed and portion sizes were generous. If you are looking for authentic Japanese cuisine, Shi's comes the closest in the area.
