When in Pordenone, I strongly reccomend to signtisee Corso Vittorio Emanuele II.
Its atmosphere, its old palaces facades, the town hall, the Cathedral and its bell tower are simply worth a visit.
Many nice shops too.
Stroll around and enjoy one of the nicest old streets of the region.

Science Centre Immaginario Scientifico Pordenone

Immaginario Scientifico's science centre in Pordenone is a science museum to try, to play and to find out. The museum is a living place where visitors discover science through hands-on exhibits, multiprojections and the Planetarium. In addition, laboratories, workshops, nights at the museum and special events help kids and adults approach scientific and technological culture.

I like their sunday afternoon classes for kids. For a relatively small fee, my son is engaged in a science activity for 75 minutes and returns with some "treasure" made out of recycled goods. I think the science center really tries but their displays do not change enough and are not extensive enough to warrant frequent visits. I do take my son fairly regularly to the science sundays classes as an good alternative to my son playing on his video games, etc. while I get a chance to read for a bit. The science center would do well to visit science centers in the states such as the hands on science museum in Ann Arbor, Michigan or the Toronto Science Center in Toronto. The center has some great summer camp programs but these did not appear to get off the ground last year due to lack of participation - the Immaginario Scientifico needs to do more advertising to boost participation/attendance and needs more funding to update their displays more frequently.

Beautiful even in the fall and only 15 minute walk from the town center. Great place for a walk or a run or to bring the kids. Good mix of modern amenities and local history. There is also a small cafe in the heart of the park.

Duomo Concattedrale di San Marco di Pordenone

This is a simple but impressive piece of architecture located within the old part of the town. It's kind of a reference point too as you can see it from most parts of the town. Try catching it on late summer afternoon to appreciate how a simple combination of local architecture and nature can work up a magical spectacle.

Vabbe' che era un giorno " feriale " ma paragonandolo ad altri Parchi visitati possiamo affermare senza ombra di smentita alcuna che questa Location e veramente tranquilla e rilassante !!
Perciò , se vi va , approfittatene . . . .
