Very good greek food, Karpathos marinates sardines (local specialty), excellent french fried and olives, souvlaki. As a gift, at end of lunch, a very good quince sweet. Nice place, characteristic, with a large terrace and very kind owners. Low prices.

The first evening we arrived we had dinner at golden sand. It's a family restaurant and the food is like your mother made it. My mother is not From Greece, but you get the point. It's very good. The location of the restaurant is nearby the sea with a beautiful view over the harbour of Lefkos. Service is friendly, the prices are average to a little bit higher than the average. The food tastes okay, but it's not so "Greek" like it could be. In my opinion it's made suitable for the middle European tourist. So if you want food to taste like at home, this might be your place.Thank you very much for your review and your kind words. If the owner's wife is German, does not mean that we cook a fusion of those 2 countries. The owner's wife does not work in the kitchen anymore since 2017 and a new Greek Chef with a Greek diplome is now in charge of the kitchen. He cooks Greek dishes as well as Mediterranean dishes and during lunch time also international and light snacks. It depends what someone orderes out of the menu. We don't know what you have ordered while you have been in our restaurant, but we would be more than happy, if you visit Karpathos and Lefkos beach again, to try also our Greek dishes in our restaurant. Again thank you very much for your review and we are looking forward to welcome you back at our place.

The best-priced and quality eatery in the village of Kato Lefkos, visited 5 different places in the village and last 3 times only served in this restaurant, the food was tasty, large and fresh. This was also the only place where, no money was asked for the money that was brought. Every day there were 3 different roasts for the day, which were extremely good and very affordable. Eat two squid and shrimp stuffed twice. Along with meals, you could choose from yourself, lettuce, potatoes or rice. What was novel about me was that, having visited many Greek islands before, it was customary to invite the cuisine and to show what the day's praise is: :) Fresh fish were also taken, knowing that fresh fish were usually expensive, then the surprise was that a decent large fish on a freshly chalked carbon brush cost just 12 euros and already contained a rich salty pellet. The greatest praise for chefs and rice at this place. I highly recommend this place and, as you can see, it was always full on the night beforeIn this place you can also eat a very lavish lunch :)

Went to Lefkos beach in Karpathos for the day. A friend had recommended Dramountana Taverna for lunch. The lunch was tremendous. We ate the freshest fish on the island. Squid with ink and pasta tasted tremendous. The octopus was very fresh. And it was inexpensive. Great place to eat!

Typical greek restaurant with family management. You can choose your fish directly from the catch of the day (while dinner we saw boat coming back in the harbour with lot of fishes and we choose our!).Fresh fish mix for two just 28â¬. The place is on the sea, really on the sea, you'll hear waves sound while having lunch or dinner. Not elegant but perfect for who's looking for greek taste.

Christina, the "chef" made an authentic and traditional cooking.She proposes "classical" greek dish but also fish coming directly from the boat of Mike, her husband.Mike, the fisherman, is a personage.I know this restaurant from years and it is always the best place to eat in family or with friends

Family run and mother cooks. Can't get any better than this on the Greek islands. Boiled horta (local spinach-like leaves) and staffed vegetables are my wife's favorites and those dishes were excellent. Fish was good, not great but atmosphere and service made up for the minor glitch. We'll be back there tomorrow..

We went on a slightly off day in terms of veggie/vegan food but what we had was plentiful and delicious! The staff were very friendly and it was a lovely tranquil setting. However, the best was saved for last: truly the best loukoumades (type of donut dessert) that I have ever tasted!
