Recently went here for a spontaneous date night. We had an excellent time. There were a few small blips in the service because some of the staff didn't help each other when a co-worker was very busy by clearing tables when they walked by etc but that being said our server apologized because she knew that certain things were taking a bit long and she made up for it by her friendliness, professionalism and even gave us an appetizer each complimentary. We were pleasantly surprised by this because it wasn't really her fault that some weren't pitching in and only concerned about their own table. Her name was Tia and she did an excellent job!Food; the food was amazing. Shrimp cocktail was delicious, the bread they serve is very tasty, the seafood had so much flavor and the steak my husband ordered was cooked perfectly.The place has a nice atmosphere and is well kept; everything was very clean including the washrooms.Yes this place is on the expensive side but I would definitely recommend going there and treating yourself. We will return again for another great meal if we are out that way again.

Met some friends here for lunch as we had some gift certificates to use. It isn't a huge place but is nicely decorated and comfortable. I started with a bowl of the Lobster Bisque ($8.00) which tasted very nice although there was little evidence of lobster in it and I thought seemed a bit pricey. I then followed up with the Lobster Sourdough Grilled Sandwich ($15.00) and upgraded to a Caesar Side Salad ($1.00). The sandwich was had a decent amount of lobster in the sandwich which was nicely grilled on tasty bread. My partner went with the 2 Fish Taco option ($14.00) and sadly she was not impressed. She loves fish tacos and has had them in numerous different places and didn't feel that they measured up here, served cold, shredded cheese at the bottom of taco not mixed in or melted. She also mentioned that her fries had come very salty, and when I tasted them I would agree with her. I do have to say that the service we received here was outstanding, our server was Sharon, and another lady helped out as well - they were friendly and worked hard to ensure that we had everything that we needed and checked on us often. Top marks in the service category. I know a lot of folks really like Joey's but for us it was just okay.
