Now, I thought I'd visit the Bourne Arms. So I looked at their website to check out their menus, opening times etc. No menus on the site and no opening times - a link takes you to some New York barista site and the rest of the website appears to be in ?Latin?How on earth us a prospective customer supposed to know whether they want to visit or not? If they are that careless about attracting new customers I'm not sure I'd trust the food........Morning.We have had a brand new web site developed because the old one wasn't fit for purpose and we have had some teething problems like you do get with everything. I am not web designer so I handed it over a person I thought would be capable. This now has been sorted and we are meeting this week to complete it. Our food is excellent our beers are coming through brand new lines and are well kept. Based on this review you decided that a problem with our website was enough to detract you. Well my friend I suggest you speak to some one who lived before the internet and ask them how they got on with life... we just used to walk into pubs and try it. If we liked it we would tell our friends that was social media back in the day when all pubs were busy. The reason why pubs are closing a great rate of knotts is because of social media and the fools that use it as a weapon. Just saying. Regards The Landlord

We visited this establishment on a Sunday evening, we received a warm welcome and were seated immediately. The food was served in a very timely fashion by well motivated and friendly staff. Our meals were wonderful, very tasty and excellent portions. I would highly recommend this pub.

This is obviously a very popular venue. We went at 2:00pm midweek and it was crowded with diners so much so that we had to search for a table.The staff here are very friendly, helpful and attentive, be they bar staff or waitresses.This is not a restaurant serving Fine Dining or Cordon Blue, but a pub serving pub grub. Once you realise that you will appreciate and enjoy your meals. Our group ordered the Pork Belly and Chorizo, Steak and Ale Pies, and Posh Fish and Chips. All of the meals were very tasty and good value for the money.We would not hesitate to eat here again next time we are in the area.....

I had gone last week but was very disappointed and vowed to not go again. The Shard manager got in touch and convinced us to go back. The food was back to its incredibly high standards and was lovely. We had duck lollipops to start and then I had fish pie and my mum had blade of beef. Was absolutely beautiful and we didnât leave a thing. It was stunning food. The gravy with the beef was particularly outstanding. We will DEFINITELY be going back. So glad itâs back to one of my best local restaurants. Thank you!Thank you for returning and we are so glad that you enjoyed your meal.We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

This is a charming pub/restaurant on the edge of Poulton with plenty of parking and a cosy interior however it is let down by the poor quality food on offer and the service. We ordered the Sunday roast of beef which was served with one Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and vegetables and a small pot / dish of gravy. The food was barely warm, the veg were hard and dried out and the beef was dry. We also ordered turkey which came with the same beef flavoured gravy. Thank you to the new management of the Miller Arms for keeping the place more or less as it was before, rather than changing it beyond recognition which very often happens. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal this evening. We had the Ploughman's Platter for two, followed by Sticky Toffee Pudding and Chocolate Orange Tart all of which was delicious and we left with our appetites well and truly satisfied. Service was excellent with everyone being very friendly and welcoming.
