This is a self service wine bar, with bits of food on offer. All wine is 25% off on Weds evenings. As I'm not a huge wine drinker, I thought it might be fun to try samples to find out what I really enjoyed. We decided to get some food as well, we all ordered the Wallow board, although my friend and I ordered a single board instead of ordering for 2, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend this, as the selection is far more minimal. Definitely worth a visit.

A local gem Welcoming pub! Friendly, casual hustle, local vibe. Lovely vantage point for river. Fantastic selection of craft beers/ales... We had two roast dinners, brisket and lamb shoulder, both mouth-wateringly delicious! The chefâs customer service and meals were faultless! Piping hot, tender meat, good portions size, adequate gravy (a rare find) and fresh yorkies! We will be back for a âpie nightâ fo-sho! Thank you for your brilliant review and rating. Set just outside of Norwich city centre. The Eagle is a stunning building with a large beautiful garden. We offer fresh locally sourced food and a selection of local ales, as well as wines and beers from around the world.
A group of 20 descended during a busy Saturday lunch time for a prearranged bbq, and despite how busy the place was we were all warmly greeted. The beer garden and patio areas were ideal and the food very good. All staff were excellent Thank you very much

This was a first visit despite living only 3 miles away. On the strength of the reviews we decided to celebrate a family birthday here and I therefore emailed requesting a table. I received a confirmatory email very speedily and asking that we kindly pre-order starters and mains due to the size of the party. As certain members of our party wished for the pie of the day I emailed and asked what type of pie it was likely to be and the response was that perhaps we would like to state our preference and the chef would oblige. He or she did and it was absolutely delicious, as were all the other meals. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient . We will be back!

This historic public house has stood proudly for over 300 years situated in the popular area of The Golden Triangle in Norwich. In late 2015, Owner Rose Hanison did major renovation work and breathed much needed love and care back into the building. The a
The service was great, the pub was busy and catered to all without a hitch, it was cosy without feeling overcrowded, and the food was fantastic. It was probably the best roast dinner I've had whilst eating out. I'm usually let down by one aspect or more whilst having a restaurant roast, but every bit of the plate was fantastic. The veggies were cooked well and in season, the roast potatoes were fluffy, of a good size, and had a crisp on the outside. Plus the flavour was delicious. The chicken was perfect. It's hard to get chicken right - I'm particularly fussy about it - but there was a lovely chargrill on the skin, and it was seasoned wonderfully. The meat was juicy, but didn't fall apart. The big Yorkshire on top was crispy and satisfying, and the gravy topped it off. I followed it with a hot chocolate brownie with ice cream. Simple and classic, but very tasty and rich. All in all, you might pay a bit more than elsewhere, but you get the best roast in Norwich. Will be coming again very soon!

Having read all the glowing reviews we recently ate at The Buck. The pub is lovely, the staff kind and attentive but the food was distinctly average. We have eaten better pork ,better burgers, been served better house wine for similar prices within the area. We were disappointed at the very average offerings and will not return.I guess after many great reviews you can set yourself up for a fall? As other review testify on the whole people love the food and it's the first time in 5 years I have had someone mention our house wines. Love to know what you drank. It is of course horses for courses but I stand by our food and drinks offering and hundreds of happy customers agree. You are of course entitled to your own view. Maybe one day give us another go, I bet I can change your mind. Thanks for taking the time to write.

One of Norwich's oldest pubs, we serve a wide range of real ales, craft beers, wines and spirits alongside a World Tapas menu. We also have an updated courtyard area and a billiards table.
First visit and really enjoyed the world tapas. Perfect food to have in the pub with a pint. As well as the normal menu, there were specials on a little blackboard. In particular we liked the falafel, patatas bravas and the tempura prawns and veggies. Between 4 of us we had 12 tapas and olives. Really impressed with the selection, all food was fresh and piping hot. Reasonably priced and would return. Thanks for your review. We love the tapas too. We cook it all to order to ensure its fresh and hot which means lots of prep by our lovely chefs. Hope to see you again soon
