This is a must visit Pub in Buriram. Cold beer and the best steak sandwich you will find. Rob and his wife really set the standard and are fun people. Never go thirsty here and friendly bunch of locals coming and going. Have bands playing music on occasions, always have sports on the big screen so AFL & NRL showing. Good pub food as well if you need you western fix can do Thai food as well if you want it.I am a regular Buriram visitor and always go to Paddys for a chat and a few cold beers.

A great place in buriram and Mel and Nit are excellent and friendly hosts. The food is great and large portions and the bar is really well kept and has a superb free pool table. I always stop off when I am in Buriram and highly recommend a visit.

It takes time to locate this craft beer pearl. I mean, just having craft beer in the Outbacks of Isan is a miracle. You find more craft beer than in most places in Bangkok. Thank you Beer God.

The ContainersThis is trying to be an upmarket bar/ restaurant in keeping with those âyuppieâ bars that exist in many busy Western cities. In keeping with said theme the restaurant is built out of spent shipping containers, hence the name. The Food: The menu is limited to simple, easy to prepare, food thatâs served in small quantities at excessively high prices, namely Yuppie Food. The quality of the food is terrible. For example, the pork steak was fatty throughout and small, I estimate 100gm. My dog eats better meat than that. It was served with small amounts of lightly cooked vegetables and sauce. The price 180Baht. This is outrageous in Buriram.The Service: Lots of clueless young girls, none of whom knew the contents of the very limited menu, if you pay peanutsâ¦... My Thai is limited but I am able to order drinks and food from a menu. What we were served bore very little resemblance to what we ordered, donât forget, Mrs. G is Thai and speaks fluent English. We were served 3 large bottles of Leo, when only 1 was ordered, we received prawn crackers instead of fried peanuts as an entree, we were served 2 pork steak dinners when only 1 was ordered. I gave up trying to negotiate our way through the mess. I paid the extortionate bill of 860Baht and left.Impression: Although the venue is relatively new, none of these issues were âteething problemsâ. This is a poorly run, overpriced, out of place bar restaurant. This venture will fail for many reasons, but principally because it is a tired theme and out of place in Buriram. Dr G.
