ordered from them for the first time in forever..... Waited 1.5hrs for cold pizza and still got charged full price! Terrible service and no acknowledgement of poor service

This is the bar/restaurant at the Towne and Mountain Hotel. We have been eating here for several nights during our week-long stay in Whitehorse, and not for a lack of choices. The first night, fresh off a 10-hour flight from Ontario, we shared Porcupine Nachos and enjoyed several of the "happy hour" (4-6) Yukon beers on draft at $4. After more than 40 years in the kitchen, I knew there was talent behind the colouful nachos on a bed of curried cardamom refried beans, topped with quality cheese, veg, salsa and sour cream. At $16, it was a meal for both of us. The second night, I ordered the pulled pork on a bun with carmelized onions, arugula and applewood smoked cheddar and house salad (other option is fries). My husband had baked spaghetti bolognese with house salad. Both were fresh, homemade tasty, and worth having again, which we will. Our plates even came with a classy balsamic drizzle. By this time we were certainly asking our server, "Who is this guy?" Apparently a very experienced chef named Jeremy, who has been at the Walking Raven since June. Tonight, we ordered a Downtown Pizza ($22/26). The crispy thin-crust pizza, rimmed with finely ground herbs and topped with quality pepperoni, cheese, fresh veg., etc, reflected the care of a serious chef in the kitchen. As a final note, our servers have been prompt and attentive, the dining area comfortable and attractive, and never very busy at all, which is a luxury for us lucky few. So, kudos to Jeremy and the rest of the staff. Hope to see a wave of diners hit just as we head home. Final note: dining room is not open Sundays.

Not sure where this photo was taken but it is certainly not the Domino's in Whitehorse!! That being said, you can expect exactly what you get from any Domino's here-there is nothing outstanding about it. If you are a Domino's fan, you can order with confidence

Six of us arrived about a half hour before kitchen was closing for the night but the staff was welcoming and helpful. Food was very good and between us we tried salads, pizza, and sandwiches. We loved it. There was a good atmosphere - it was busy, staff were nice, trendy decor and great lampshades! Most importantly though the food was fantastic. The first night I had local elk and cranberry sausages in a tomato based sauce with pitta bread - stunning. We spied other tables eating yummy looking deep pan pizzas and so we went in the next night to try those. Best pizza weâve had for a very long time!Thank you so much for your amazing, detailed and thoughtful review! Glad you enjoyed the lampshades! We actually got them from the United Kingdom! A new twist on the basic oil candle lighting and they are LED. Energy saving for sure! So glad you tried us twice ! Our pizza is a staple so happy to hear we met your expectations!
