These restaurants still exist. Good local food, no frills, reasonable price. OK so the over worked waiter might have a myocardial infarction at any minute but everything offered to eat was faultless. And all at a reasonable price. This is not a high end restaurant but does what a good trattoria should do - feed the family well without you having to sell the house. Recommended by a local and full of people from Martina. I will return.

This place is a hidden gem of Martina Franca. We came here with a coupon and our expectations weren't high (unfortunately, that's what happens with coupons). Well, the owner went above and beyond to satisfy us. Not only we were brought much more food than was stated in our coupon, but the food itself was delicious! For instance, fava beans were missing (they run out of them), but instead we were brought 3 other plates just to compensate the missing dish. Special thank you for the salad and tomatoes - they are really sweet, not every restaurant cares for that. And the meat - while it was just an average quality of meat, I suspect the salt was added DURING preparation - something very unusual for Italian kitchen (I don't know why they add salt in the end only) which made the grilled meat more delicious. By the end of the meal we were so full we didn't take pizza that was included. The desert. We had a panna cotta (only one type of desert offered). It was the best panna cotta I have ever eaten!It came with a special compliment from the kitchen - with a generous slice of melon. We came on a Sunday night and there was karaoke. While personally I'm not a fan of it, I'd imagine for some people it'd be appealing. The owner is a laid back guy who you can joke with and have fun. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. With the amount of food we got, we would expect such a treatment from a friend, not an unknown restaurant and definitely not when you walk in with a coupon. We will definitely come back!

Arrived at around 20:00 and there was only a couple of tables occupied, so I thought here we go again all hype. I was oh so wrong. By 20:45 the place was heaving with families out for a pizza. The choice is EXCELLENT, all the favourites and a lot of different combinations, and the pizza has to speak for itself, well shout actually, it was VERY good, tasty, well loaded and well cooked - not over salted. There is also a good beer selection, normal bottled beers but do try the tap beer, it's the real deal. Get a seat facing the food preparation area and enjoy the show.The cost is a Euro or so above the average - but you get what you pay for. Pizza here is not average.

We were in Martina Franca on a Sunday afternoon, and couldn't find an open restaurant in the historic section. Starving, we found this restaurant set back from the street, and decided that no matter how it was, we could just get a pizza. What a surprise! It was a lovely little restaurant, with tables on two floors, filled by local residents out for their midday Sunday meal. Instead of pizza, we were treated to a huge number of dishes, lots of antipasti and main courses and sides, plus wine. All for 25 euros per person. Everything was great. It was a great deal, and it was a nice experience to be in a local restaurant, instead of a tourist place.

Just around the corner from the Palazzo Ducale is this nice new pizzeria which serves a delicious thin-crusted pizza. Service was quick and friendly, and our pizzas were delivered to our table in a matter of minutes. The thin-style crust is great and just right, but not cracker-thin as I've had in some other parts of the country. The restaurant interior is casual and pleasant. Beer seems to be the beverage of choice as I didn't see wine on the menu, but what goes better with pizza than an ice-cold Moretti? We'll definitely be coming back here!

This is a big Pizzeria in the country side between Martina Franca and Cisternino, very busy during the week-end so reservation is highly recommended. They offer a couple of bases + a gluten free one and a wide range of good quality and local topping (salty and sweet). If you need a GLUTEN FREE base you need to RESERVE IT BY PHONE. Staff is polite and helpful, the place is clean and parking is available.

after being disappointed by our past visits, we finally booked a table ahead a got a instant confirmation. small, cozy restaurant specializing in Pizza Napoletana. we didn't have much selection for vegetarian pizza's and we went wrong in our selections. so according to us, pizza's were average. a must try place though. famed through out Martina. As mentioned in earleir posts, we tried the Menabrea beer, which was fine.

This is a very pleasant establishment some distance from the centre of Martina Franca. It offers a huge range of pizzas with many of the usual offerings along with a number of novel combinations. The restaurant is bright and appears very clean. Staff are attentive and provide a pleasant welcome to diners.
