Amazing selection of food. Basic sandwiches, savory items, cakes plus orders. Enjoyed super size custard square. They make the best milkshakes. Not fancy surroundings but great service and heaps of room.

Recently opened on the former site of the Crazy Cow Cafe is The Redoubt Bar and Eatery, Morrinsville.The builders have done a good job of transforming this tired old cafe into a modern bar and eatery with both indoor and outdoor seating.We were happy with the service, value and presentation of our Sunday lunch meal.It was also refreshing to have our table in their system under our names rather than a number.Overall a good first impression of this new dining option in Morrinsville.

This place is tucked away off one end of the main st. In fact you may miss it if you didnât know it was there. As tourists I had done my usual and asked staff at the motel where they would eat tonight if given the chance and this was recommendedSo we walked round and it was pretty quiet. I would class it as more a restaurant than pub.First of the downsides for me. No comfy seating. Itâs all at tables with hard seats or stools.Two waitresses on and they were lovely. One had obviously not been doing it for long as she lacked that easy way to chat to customers that her colleague had. However she new her stuff, new and could describe the items on the menu. Couple of months and she will be great. My wife had a mixed grill and was delighted when it came as raw meat served on a hot stone. She had to cook it herself and was delighted. She could cook it exactly as she wanted it and said the meat was delicious.They stock Craft Beer by Stokes. I had the dark my wife had a fruity pilsnerSecond downside........no beer list. I have never been in a pub that sells Craft Beer and not been able to read a description of what they are.....shame on you.All that aside, good food promptly served by great waitresses who took the time to chat. Oh and the beers great too

Food was very nice and vegetarian options were available. The retro feel was nice. The staff however were very off hand. Took the family including 2 young grandchildren and was more than pleasantly surprised, including my dau6 a local who hadn't been there before and said she and the family will certainly book again. Good menu, generous portions served well. The staff are very friendly

Went in for lunch great options and variety but was disappointed with the size of the meal. The Cajun chicken salad was nice jut to small for a salad and my husband enjoyed his burger but said it wasnât 22 dollars worth. I think the price of food and labour in New Zealand is making it so hard for these businessâ to sell for at competitive rates.

We were looking for a place open for lunch on Easter Sunday and came to Morrinsville on the chance something would be open. So pleased we did. Loxy's has a small frontage but that is all that is small about it! Menu or cabinet food - generous portions and all choices were delicious. A good variety of items with gluten free available. It is very family friendly and many children were there with parents. I had difficulty making a selection but settled on the waffles with " the works" Very good choice. My friend's choice from the cabinet was equally delicious. We will return.
