Looked after all the people they knew but ignored other tables completely. We waited 30 minutes for a menu, food was average and served in a staggered manner. Ordered two steaks with sides and the steaks arrived but no sides. After 10 minutes I asked them to get the sides and warm the steaks and we got them as everyone else in our party had finished their food. No apologies, no effort, no service and glad to see us leave! I don't think we will be hurrying back....and a service charge on the bill! Best avoided but the coffee was ok and a nice view!Gerry mi scuso a nome dei miei collaboratori per il servizio che avete ricevuto , spero di avervi ancora come nostri ospiti per dimostrarvi tutto il nostro impegno per farvi stare bene buona permanenza in Italia.

We stopped here for coffee and extended to have lunch as well. Fantastic local food and enjoyable local wine. The service was very good and the outlook over the lake very pleasant.

We made a reservation to have a nice Saturday night dinner. We sat outside, which was the first mistake. Extremely loud & smelly traffic. Only one other couple sat outside. Inside is very unattractive. The appetizer of asparagus with poached egg & cheese was good. But our dinners were not good. For fish, the server recommended fish & chips. It was terrible. Some sort of inedible potato chips and a small portion of fish. The steak was ok. There were approximately 20 guests total. The server did not visit the table and did not ask if we needed anything else or if we enjoyed our meal. Many other places to go across the street.So you have come to book in person. You have seen where the restaurant is located and how it is made and you have chosen to dine out. Saturday night we served 36 people who had dinner out of 10. The couple who had dinner near you rebooked for tonight, always out, apparently it is not as bad as she says. Our restaurant is recommended on the Michelin Guide since 2012 so our dishes are certainly not terrible and as we read in all the other reviews our service is highly appreciated for courtesy and professionalism!!

We wanted a good, simple lunch after an active morning. La Locanda did itself proud. I had the lasagna which is perhaps the best I've ever tasted. Noodles as light as a feather. Delicious!

We came here because the reviews said that the food was excellent, at a good price and the that lady who runs it makes you feel at home. We glossed over the comments about the service being slow because the food sounded so tasty. I have to say that the reviews were all pretty much spot on. The lady of the house was very friendly, spoke to us in English, and politely went along with us and our appalling Italian. She also speaks German and I think I heard her speak some French to some other groups I think he restaurant. Her food was delicious and she kindly took into account our groups allergy requirements. The choice of wine was fantastic, there are shelves and shelves of bottles to chose from with prices from 20 euros to 200. We didnât mind too much that the service was relaxed and chilled, but if you come here expecting 5* service with an attentive waiter you might be a bit miffed. Donât get me wrong, we didnât starve between courses, but there was plenty of opportunity to enjoy the wine between courses. I would happily go again for some top level Italian food and massive wine glasses!

Very friendly service at this modern styled restaurant, just one street back from the seafront, at the cathedral end of the old town. Staff were fun and friendly, food was well presented and tasty. Was accompanied by various little "treat" dishes between courses.

In the pretty small town of Gordone this lovely Michelin rated restaurant was pure delight. An intimate setting with friendly staff the food was delicious and not over priced for such fine dining. We had tuna tartar and scallops as starters. There was a gazpacho muse bouche then for mains we had the delicious sea bass in olive sauce and tomatoes with lovely creamy fondant potatoes. Prosecco to start of course! Terrific. If the hill is too much there is a small shuttle.

Despite not having made a reservation,staff found us a table inside this quaint and wonderful restaurant. Food was of the highest quality and very tasty. Service was extremely efficient despite the fact it was busy on the night. I would definitely recommend a visit.
