I have been going here for years, and they are very consistent. They are well known for their "Gringas" tacos, and Posole. Our waiter had a tough time with English and forgot a few things, but a quick reminder and they took care of everything. The seating here is not enclosed in a building, and depending on weather and season one might want to bring some mosquito repellent. There is usually parking on site in the lot next to the restaurant. I would recommend their Gringas, Posole, and guacamole which is always made to order.

Cielito Lindo Bistro

Mexican restaurant, base on traditional Mexican food, of different states of the contry. Mexican Gastronomy is extensive, full of different flavors. He put our heart and pasion to provide all those flavor with our touch.

I'm so glad I saved one of the best for last! Last dinner in Cozumel before we head back home. Cielito Lindo was a new try for us (family of 4). I had made reservations requesting indoor dining with air conditioning, the restaurant is very quaint, sits on a corner with a lot of outdoor seating. Mariano was our excellent server.Of course I had to have my last Don Julio Tequila while looking over the menu. We started off with the Azteca Soup. Entrees were: Cochinita Yucatán (tender pork, pickles onions, avocado in a garlic sauce), Lechuguilla De Pollo en Salsa de Mole (chicken breast stuffed with cheese and mushrooms, dipped in a mole sauce with mash potatoes), Pasta Poblano with Chicken and The Green Chili Enchiladas. Of course we ended our meal with sharing the Churros dessert. ALL the food was AMAZING, Loved the Cochinita Yucatán. The service was perfect. Atmosphere nice. A definite, SEE YOU NEXT SUMMER!We love your comment!! Thank you for these review and for all the instagram photos! See you next summer!

This is our 2nd visit to La Candela. Love the food, especially the guacamole and the shrimp. Menu is in English and Spanish, waiters also speak some English. Prices and service are pretty good. Our favorite spot when we are here from a cruise ship. Outdoor seating under a thatched roof with lots of fans to keep you cool. Feels authentic. Free wifi, just ask for the password.

Authentic tacos made fresh to order every time. Best margaritas in town made with top ingredientes. Half a block from the waterfront, local prices.

I stopped by one evening, and they were open but their stove was damaged, I came back as I heard their food was good, and it was - but their service was nominal, not that great. I guess as they own several restaurants in town they do not pay too much attention to details.

Ate at el Moro July 2019, recommendation from dive shop restaurant list, this restaurant was away from the main tourist drag and well worth the walk. The restaurant is family owned/run and waitstaff was great. Had mole chicken enchiladas and the mole sauce was probably the best I have ever had. The restaurant was a bit hot being not air conditioned. This is a good example of how some of the best food is not in the typical tourist trap places, please check this out if you like authentic Mexican food!

A true hidden gem, with friendly owners, live music, and fresh fish. Excellent hosts, reasonable prices and delicious food.

This is a dining experience. Great food and wonderful people and certainly off the beaten path. The fish and seafood is fresh and the food is well done. If you happen to be sensitive to the heat, this may not be your restaurant or island depending on your timing. It can be a little warm but it is always with it to me! The ceviche is fresh, the beer is cold, and the fish is whole!

After our last years visit with less than stellar service, we were invited back by Chef Paola Torroella, executive chef and general manager to "make it right". Again, making a reservation through Chef Paola, when we arrived there was a huge party taking place, when I told the hostess we had reservation, no one had a clue. I asked for Chef Paola there and after our greeting, all seemed OK. We were able to get one of the last tables for 4 in the front room with a beautiful view of the patio and waterfront. We were a party of 4, starting off with Margaritas (BTW great Margaritas). The food ordered was the Beef Carpaccio, Chicken with Rosemary and Potatoes, Pork Belly Tacos, Fried Fish Tacos and the Shrimp Mezcal Tacos.I think the food is delicious, Atmosphere is a beautiful old renovated home and service was much improved since the last time we wereHello akdeepdiverIt was great to read from you. Diego's is the cream of the crop. Do yourself a favor and try it. It is run by a mom and her children. The food is made with love and the taste is exceptional. The fresh guacamole is amazing as is their signature habanero cream sauce. We've tried their veggie tacos, shrimp tacos and Diego tacos. All three are fantastic. You will not walk away from there hungry. Portions and price are great. It is conveniently located by the airport. We usually walk off a short distance from airport property upon arrival and head straight for Diego's. We grab a taxi after decompressing from a long day of travel and enjoying our tacos. It's the perfect way to start or vacation. Upon leaving, we check in with the airlines and walk to Diego's for our last taco fix and walk back to board. We've, also, been known to take a taxi from our resort just to eat at Diego's. We visited 3 times this trip.Do yourself a favor and try it. You won't be sorry.

Atmosphere is friendly and you can tell it's a family-run establishment. I ordered the ground beef burrito and my fiance ordered the Crazy King and they were the best burritos we've ever had. I forgot to take pictures of the food but my husband and I came here twice on our day trip to Cozumel because it was place that seemed to be the least touristy and the most authentic. If you want an experience just like you would get in the United States then go to Woody’s down the street, but if you came to Mexico to eat real Mexican food then this is the place. Thank you for giving us two wonderful experiences and staying authentic! Get the combo fajitas they were simple but delicious! That's awesome, we really appreciate it! thank you so much for sharing your experience and recommending, also por your preference <3
