We tried the cheese plate with homemade tomato (!) and orange rind marmalade for dessert. The jam was very surprising and lovely paired with pur cheeses. Mike, our waiter was personable and gave us excellent service. We enjoyed our anniversary evening here.

Just been, walked by and decided to stop for a quick lunch. The place is clean, and the service second to none !! We were visiting Montreal and decided to try out this beautiful restaurant. Our food was decent however when the waitress brought our bill... there was $25 in the middle of the table for her tip.!! Our bill came to about $65 and she became very aggressive and said that that was not enough money for a tip. She became very aggressive and rude and we felt bullied into leaving more money. I have never experienced anything like that before. She knew we were tourist and was taking advantage of us.Never again.!!!!!!!!!!Hi there! My friends and I discovered this restaurant while wandering around Old Montreal. The sign inviting customers to build their own pizza caught our eye. There are many choices for ingredients and it was too hard to decide so we opted for their menu. I had the Bros pizza. It looked too pretty to eat, but I did and it was really good. My friends enjoyed their pizzas as well. I like that I was able to finish this individual pizza without feeling overstuffed. These pizzas are nothing like the ones offered by restaurant chains. They are more artisanal type pizzas, as appealing to the eye as to the stomach.

Six of us had dinner here. AS the name suggests itâs an Italian restaurant. Nice seating area with friendly wait staff. The food was uniformly good; we had a selection of veal, seafood, and pasta entrees and all were more than acceptable. Very cozy, warm and inviting, with not a lot of background noise, so conversation was easy.

After reading some reviews here on Trip Advisor, my wife and I decided to celebrate my birthday by dining at Le Serpent. We started the evening with glasses of champagne and oysters that were served with a maple syrup and green onion minionette, which paired beautifully with the oysters. Then, as we weren't sure which wine to pair with our meal (but had narrowed down our selection to a french burgundy) we asked the Sommelier for a recommendation. When he brought the wine to our table, he tasted it for us, as is customary, but then poured only a little taste into each our glasses for us to taste, to ensure that we were happy with our choice - which was a lovely gesture that we've rarely experienced, even at the highest end restaurants. For dinner I had the Arctic Char confit, which was prepared and plated beautifully and my spouse had the guinea hen, which was a unique and delicious dish. At the conclusion of our meal, the staff brought out a sparkler with the cherry panna cotta, as they must have overheard us discussing that it was my birthday. With the dessert they offered us aged chenin blanc, on the house. Then, amazingly, the patrons at the adjacent 3 tables all congratulated me on my birthday, each revealing that they, too, were there to celebrate their birthdays. In all, we had representatives from 4 decades gathered at Le Serpent. Don't miss this venue when next in Montreal!

Usually, Italian food in Montreal doesn't do it for me but Salumi Vino is an exception. From the greeting to the ice cold water, through the meatball and salad appetizers, the main courses and dessert this place stacks up with the best in North America. Situated in downtown St-Lambert close to Victoria bridge, this restaurant is a great alternative to dining in Montreal with easy parking close by.We went for dinner on a crowded Saturday night. Service is a bit slow but very welcoming and friendly. The Cream de Champignon soup was heavenly, and the spaghetti allo scoglio was perfect. The dessert, a trio of ice cream sorbet was great.Overall an excellent dinner in a very nice restaurant with easy going atmosphere.
