Situated near a busy intersection in Feldtsrasse, parking facilities are somewhat difficult, so take a taxi from the city centre. More suited to the typical German visitor than a more refined restaurant would be, Da Cosimo caters for the more hurried diner in conditions that are far from intimate, but more than acceptable. the tables are far too close to each other and space is at a premium. A good selection of international cuisine is available, with some interesting wines you might like to look up on a another occasion at the wine shop just across the street. Some Italian-sounding dishes are available, but basically this is a German restaurant with a few extra trimmings, hence the "average" rating in my assessment. At times, finding a table can be difficult, so if this is the place you have chosen, do make sure to have a reservation. Again, catering for German guests, this restaurant lacks the delicacy you might expect from a more up-market establishment. Do not expect anything exceptional: the food is ordinary and somewhat over-seasoned, which means that what might be good ingredients are often covered in all-enveloping sauces. Simplicity would be better.

I love this place and try to visit in all my Kiel trips. Everything about the pizzas and the service are perfect. The only thing I hate is watching people eating pizza with knives and forks. Pizza is a food which should be eaten with hands, not with tools!

Dies ist mein dritter Besuch hier.Dieses Ristorante ist seit Jahren gut besucht.Es liegt in der Ortsmitte und viele Parkplätze befinden sich vor dem Eingang.So müsste man meinen, dass es hier eine richtig gute Küche gibt.Oder liegt es an mangelnden Alternativen?Nach dem Eintreten fühlt man sich eher an die Atmosphäre in einer alten Betriebskantine erinnert.Es gibt hier kaum ein italienisches Ambiente.Die modernen Leuchten bringen grelles Licht auf den Tisch, der auch nicht (!) nett eingedeckt ist.Die kleinen Tafeln mit mehreren Tagesgerichten hängen fast an der Decke in der Nähe der Essensausgabe.Von den meisten Plätzen kann man also nichts lesen und man wird auch nicht über diese Angebote mündlich informiert.Also empfehle ich, einen Rundgang zu machen, um sich darüber zu informieren.Die eigentliche Speisekarte wirkt auf mich nicht animierend.Auch die Weinauswahl ist sehr begrenzt.Da wir mit einer Gruppe anwesend war, gab es vorweg Bruscetta und einen gemischten Vorspeisen-Teller, der ausschliesslich aus Gemüse bestand.Ich bestellte eine kleine Pizza Gamberi (8,50 â¬), die geschmacklich und optisch absolut unbefriedigend war.Wabbeliger Teig, etwas Tomaten-Sauce mit kleinsten blassen Alaska-Shrimps überdeckt mit Käse erinnert mich auch nicht ansatzweise an eine Pizza mit Gambas (Garnelen) in Italien. Gewürzt oder knusperig war diese Pizza auch nicht.Die Flasche Wein wurde ungekühlt in einen braunen Keramik-Topf gesteckt und war nach kurzer Zeit warm.Richtige Weinkühler mit Eis gibt es hier nicht.Als alle ihr Essen beendet hatten, dauerte es 30 Minuten, bis der Tisch abgeräumt wurde.Dessert oder Digestif wurden nicht angeboten.Wein nachschenken ist Selbstbedienung.Es war festzustellen, dass das Personal durch die vielen Gäste überfordert ist.Also sollte man überlegen, mehr Personal einzustellen.Meine persönliche individuelle Bewertung:Service: 2 PunkteAmbiente: 2 PunktePreis-/Leistung: 2 PunkteWein-Auswahl: 2 PunkteQualität der Speisen: 2 PunkteZubereitung der Speisen: 2 PunktePräsentation der Speisen: 2 PunkteLocation: 2 Punkte

We came here after a long bike trip around the lake. The cuisine is modern Italian and all dishes were great: Spaghetti Alio Olio, Vitello Tonnato, Pizza, Mozzarella, Spaghetti al Tartufo. Prices were very competitive and service excellent. Recommended.

Great views of the Kieler Förde, almost on the start of the Port. You can watch the ships and enjoy with modern Italian Vapiano menu. Directly opposite the main central station of Kiel, on the removable Bridge, it's very easy to reach. Tourists favorite, but locals also can hang around there. Coffee time

I really liked this restaurant. The taste and size of the pizza are good. Most of the staff are friendly and the location is very central Ciao Hasan,Thank you very much for giving us a good rating. friendly staff and a great eat at reasonable prices. Due to the fact that every local and every visitor know about this restaurant, the place is always busy and full. I recommend a table reservation if you would like to dine between 1800 and 2000 o'clock where the place is at its busiest

What a grest place for authentic italian food. Everything is homemade. Service is relaxed but you know what sit back and relax it's totally worth it. Excellent wine selection. This is the place yo go for Italian in Kiel. You will not be disappointed.

Ich komme mit meiner Frau regelmäÃig hierher, bisher absolut keinen Grund zur Klage. Super Küche, aufmerksamer Service, schöne Weine und ruhiges Ambiente und auch wechselnde Karte runden das Bild ab. Ich kann bisher jeden nur empfehlen, dies einmal auszuprobieren, ich denke, es lohnt sich! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder !
