I was overnighting in Gifhorn and was looking for something easy to eat, tasty. Walking around the centre I saw this restaurant and didn't dissapoint me.I ate a pizza and it was really good. The service was also really good, friendly, taking care of my needs and the local y cosy and nice

We went for Saturday lunch in bright sunshine as we liked the fountain just in front of the restaurant. All was nicely decorated with trees, pots and flowers.A young waitress handed the menu over and asked for drinks. When she came back she mentioned that the kitchen will close in five minutes and we should hurry up. So we decided to only have the home-made ravioli stuffed with mozzarella and truffles.Unfortunately the plate looked different of what we had expected and the ravioli were very salty.Sorry guys, no chance that we will come back!

It looked quite promising but unfortunately that was a mistake....We took place on the terrace facing the parking lot. The waitress did not know what the topping was on the pizza we ordered and when she came back, after asking the cook, still did not remember...We had pizza and my favorite gnocchi and bruschetta as starter.The gnocchi were far away from "al dente" and over-cooked and the pizza was also not really what we had expected.We will not go there again!

...muss man aber nicht unbedingt. Meine Tagliatelle mit Lachs waren lecker, da kann ich nicht meckern. Die Antipasti-Platte war auch ok, nur sehr übersichtlich. Die Pasta mit Meeresfrüchten und vor allem die Ravioli des Hauses waren jedoch allenfalls durchschnittlich. Leider lieà auch die Bierauswahl etwas zu wünschen übrig, die italienischen Weine waren Standard-Ware und somit ok. Ob man entkoffeinierten Kaffee bestellen muss ist sicher diskutabel, jener war allerdings vermutlich mittels Pad zubereitet und hat auch dementsprechend geschmeckt. Der Espresso und auch die Digestif waren i.O.Der Service war zuweilen etwas wenig dynamisch, ansonsten unauffällig. Insgesamt für die Lokalität und in Gifhorn in Ordnung, ich war eigentlich ganz zufrieden - natürlich mit Abstrichen und angepassten Erwartungen, schlussendlich ein befriedigendes Resultat.

Das Restaurant besticht durch seine Lage direkt am mittelland kanal. In den Sommermonaten ist es dort gut aus zuhalten mit blick auf den kanal und die vorbei fahrenden schiffen. Das Essen ist eher durchschnittlich nicht besonders gut, aber auch nicht schlecht. Wir wurden von zwei Angestellten bedient, wobei man da auch wieder unterscheiden muss die Dame war nett und bemüht. Der Herr leider etwas unhöflich, dazu muss man sagen wir waren mit dem hund es war warm und er brauchte einen napf leider ist der Kellner nicht von selber drauf gekommen, als wir fragten sollten wir ihn selber holen und abfühlen.
