We had family dinner in Opera which opened its doors three months ago. The menu is simple and straightforward. Service was efficient and knowledgeable. Our child was spoiled, she got her pizza asap. There is a good selection of wines, the Valpolicella Ripasso was my choice. We had bean soup and the mixed meats starters. We were extremely satisfied with them also the garlic bread was a hit. We both had pasta as main penne amatriciana was very tasty and the tortellini, which I found a bit salty but my partner loved it. As dessert had créme brûlée and ice cream. Definitely recommended

Really nice visit on Saturday. Food in the main was good although two of my guest commented on their lasagna being flooded with sauce that was very tomato based, too much and made the lasagna sloppy and monotonous to eat. The live singer / guitarist was fantastic and the serving staff were very friendly. This is a nice little place to spend a couple of hours.

Visited in June of this year. Found the menu extremely difficult to read. Eventually picked a starter if brushetta which was so disappointing....it was a selection of l Parma ham/salami with bread and some olives ..... no sign of tomato anywhere .... there was very little on the main course option that we liked so 2 had pizza.... my goodness what arrived out was a swimming mess of runny passata sauce and undercooked base on a simple margarita pizza ...... it really was dreadful and the server who brought it to the table obviously could see it was undercooked. Hadn’t the energy to complain we had been travelling all day .....pizza remained uneaten. Wine very expensive think we paid maybe 37 euro for a bottle of white wine. The waiter was extremely friendly but overall it was shocking ...... need to up the game guys to be any competition for all the fabulous restaurants in Carrick . Hi, Im sorry to hear your experience with us was nothing but the best which is what we are striving to be. Since your experience we have changed our menu and the head chef (myself) as well, I am well aware of the flaws we had with the pizza section and was very disappointed with how we were serving them. Since taking over i have changed it all from the calibration of the oven to the recipe of the bases to the tomato sauce we use. Myself and the restaurant manager have also since made a few changes and new additions to our wine list that accommodates not only the palette but the wallet and is also the perfect accompaniment to our food.We do hope you would be willing to give us another visit to see the changes we have made since your visit and in the 2 months we have been open. Please don't hesitate to contact us on [email protected] we would love to hear from you.Kind Regards.Jack (Head Chef), Dominic (Restaurant Manager)

Have visited on a number of occasions lately always good service friendly atmosphere and good food. On our last visit on the till receipt they was an offer included to “bounce back to Vittos and receive 5% discount”. It was disappointing to learn that this was not being honored even though there was no end of offer date. The till needs to be updated to remove this if this offer isn’t available Thank you for your review GIBBS and we glad yo enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. Thank you for pointing out the issue with the till receipt. This was from a previous promotion and we were unaware that it was still showing up on the receipt's - we have removed it immediately. Thank you once again for drawing it to our attention !
