The municipality comprises the towns of Bornem proper, Hingene, Wintam, Mariekerke and Weert. There are also the hamlets of Branst, Buitenland, Eikevliet and Wintam. On 1 January 2006, Bornem had a total population of 20,064. The total area is 45.76 km² which gives a population density of 438 inhabitants per km².

Gezellige wijnbar , uitgebaat door Martine en Patrick , waar men in een rustig kader , van lekkere , door Patrick geselecteerde, wijnen en meer ( biertjes, fris en sterkers) kan genieten.Er kunnen verzorgde tapas en nu spaghetti besteld worden , om aan de vraag van de klanten tegemoet te komen, want eigenlijk ambiëren ze geen restaurant-allures . En deze gerechten worden trouwens zeer gesmaakt , wij komen soms speciaal voor de spaghetti ( ook vegetarisch ) en een heerlijk glaasje wijn , bubbels, gin-tonic...er is zeker voor ieder wat wils.De Correctie staat ook voor particuliere aankoop van wijnen en andere dranken.Geschenkjes in de vorm van exclusieve top wijnen, betaalbare wijnen en cava , cadeaubon in de vorm van een volle fles wijn die ( na het thuis nuttigen), leeg teruggebracht wordt en waarna de waarde op het etiket dan kan opgenomen worden in de zaak of om uit een erg uitgebreid assortiment wijnen een keuze te maken. Eventueel met de deskundige , professionele raad van Patrick.Zeker wel een mooie zaak met standing , waar je bij een praatje, op een prettige manier een drankje kan degusteren en van een hapje kan genieten .De Correctie heeft een gelijkvloers gedeelte en een 1 ste verdiep , dat met een grote trap toegankelijk is.Er is een grote, gratis parkeergelegenheid op een kleine wandelafstand +- 100 meter. Stap eens binnen en overtuig jezelf, het zal je zeker bevallen.

On my second visit, I chose the menu surprise of the evening. What a treat. 4 small plates of fish, meat and dessert courses. Flavours just amazing.A must try is the house cocktail of white port and lemon topped off with tonic.Service was immaculate and overall experience was excellent.

You will be received by a very friendly host. A lot of choice of the classical Italian dishes at very reasonable prices. Surprising tastes. Sufficient wine choice. Nice interior.

Een super adresje in hartje Bornem met terras buiten, plaats binnen of in de tuin achteraan. Is geen restaurant maar een superadresje voor ijsjes!Goed voor een ijsje aan de toog maar voor de 'fijnproevers' is er kaart met verschillende suggesties. De bediening is super en gastvrij 'Ã l' Italiano' :), de presentatie is oogstrelend en de kwaliteit is uitmuntend. Zeer goed ontvangen, vriendelijk en vlot, wat wil je nog meer!Wij komen terug.

we were there with a group of 10, and the rest of the restaurant was also full, nevertheless the service was good and efficient. The food is Italian with a west european hint or visa versa west european food with a italian hint. It was good, refined, and tasteful .... everything you expect from a restaurant!

It's all Italian at this place. The cooks (one for pasta's & one for oven baked pizza's), the waiters, the music and ambiance are all Italian. It's recommended to call in advance to block your seat. You can also call in for take out. The food is great !!

I went to Dendermonde for a ceremony with family and friend. For the dinner we were at Gillia smiles & pasta. The welcoming at the reception by the boss is just awesome. We had some pasta with black Angus the food, flavour and wines was so good. So come on if you had a chance to go to Dendermonde go to Gillia and enjoy that's it.Si vous allez à Dendermonde n'hésitez pas à Manger chez Gillia smiles & pasta. L'accueil est super sympa et les pattes fantastiques. Vous passerez un très bon moment en famille et amis. Daniel & Brigitte
