We arrived by water taxi to Al Forno. My goodness the Panamanian dishes were exquisite. Meals for the evening were offered on a chalkboard which attests to its very fresh and fine quality meals. Family friendly and great for large groups. I could easily see a reunion venue here. Thank you for the memeories!

The food and service were awesome. We ate there multiple times during our stay at Turtle Beach House. Our waiter was Stan and he did an excellent job! The pizza is awesome as well as the service. Yes, I realize our prices are a bit above average than back home (but quite frankly, not any higher than the rest of Bocas...) but this is because most of our food items are brought from either Panamá City or the mainland via ferry and then must be driven out here to the jungle. Also, we take our pizza VERY seriously, hence the special milled flour and tomatoes are actually imported from Italy, as we just cannot get these fundamental ingredients here in Panama. These items are then driven from Panamá City, across the water via ferry and finally to us... While we feel anyone can buy flour, tomatoes and cheese from the store and call themselves a â Pizza Restaurantâ, we at Island Plantation insist on the âreal dealâ and we (humbly) believe our pizza (and home made pasta) reflects that. We eat Italian food literally all over the world and this is one of the best we have ever been at. The food was prepared with great care from wonderful recipes. Ugo is from Italy and knows his stuff. His attention to detail and warm friendly greeting makes his customers feel at home. The linguine with chicken and mushroom sauce is fantastic. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner nightly. You wonât be disappointed.

I literally save all of my money just to travel the world and eat good food and this is by far the best Italian I have eaten since traveling Central America. The food is INCREDIBLE and the owners chiara & Franco are so lovely and welcoming. If you love authentic Italian food (just like me) then youâll absolutely love it. Stayed next door at Turtle Beach House and ate 2 dinners out of 6 at Island Plantation and most lunches at their beach bar across the street directly on the beach, which is also great to chill and watch the surf. Accommodated our group of 10 with last mintue reservations on each occasion. One of the only true beach front spots where you can lay on a day bed and spend the whole day beach front.Full menu of food and drinks, so you can lay in the sun all day and not go hungry (or thirsty!). I probably wouldnât trek from town just to have lunch out here but make an afternoon out of it to really enjoy it Food is good (not great - but good). Service is excellent. Ambiance is great. If youâre surfing at Paunch (or your partner is...) then this is a great spot to stop for after surf food and drinks.

This is a fairly new place and has the amazing chef Chris who wa the owner of Casbah. He is excellent. The owners are wonderful and make sure every guest is greeted and made to feel welcomed and appreciated. The food is great and you will not be disappointed. Walked to here from our hotel. Tiny little place only open 4 days a week I believe. Pretty much serving from a shed in their garden. Pizzas were tasty enough but was a really quaint and different setting to most restaurants we ate at. Far superior to our experience at skullys across the road.
