Ann is a perfectionist. She serves wonderful food, full of flavour. There is a lovely ambience at Brocka, thanks to her personal touches in terms of table settings and furnishings. Duck is highly recommended, as is the Marzipan dessert! Dining at Brocka is an experience, not just a meal.

Visited Paddyâs Bar with family for lunch. The menu was really restricted to 4 mains & a couple of starters. Food microwaved, chips stone cold. Staff friendly but the food really wasnât great & expensive. Wouldnât recommend this for a lunchtime unless you want microwaved food. Disappointing.
I had a breakfast at this new bistro the other day and it was delicious, hot and on time. I was very happy with the service, as the staff were polite and always with a smile. The atmosphere was open and optimistic. The price of the meal was just right. Kudos to them...:)

Our group of thirteen (from the US) stayed at Slevoir House (VRBO # 8246975) earlier this month. We truly enjoyed Terryglass Village and the Derg Inn, in particular. We experienced the Derg hospitality and fabulous cooking from several angles. First, Damien Doyle, owner and head chef provided an unbelievable feast for us, lakeside at Slevoir. The amount and variety of food was amazing - from pork ribs to grilled vegetables to tasty fresh baked bread to shrimp and steak. Next, a small table of four of us dined at the Derg, where we enjoyed a lovely meal while feeling that we were a part of this friendly village. Finally, our group of thirteen enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Derg on our last night in Ireland. Not only was the food great but so was the service, given the number of people, age range and orders from drinks, appetizers and entrees to tea and dessert. Visit the Derg - you will not be disappointed!

Visited here in the afternoon and it was quiet busy. Waitress was lovely and friendly. I had an omelette with gluten free bread. It was tasty and nicely cooked. My friend had ceasar salad which was cheesy and filling. The dressing comes on the side. Very nice simple meal that hit the spot!
