Reviews on International food in Windermere, England, United Kingdom. This popular resort town is located just a mile from Windermere Lake, the largest lake in England and alleged home of more than one peculiar sea creature. If we've scared you out of skiing, boating and fishing in Windermere Lake, there's always horseback riding and golf. Or you can explore the lake from the safety of a ferryboat, which regularly takes passengers from Hawkshead to Bowness.

Blue Smoke on the Bay is a unique dining experience in the Lake District, serving wood-smoked food from our unique 3 metre grill.
Visit no 3 was an enjoyable experience. This is a very pleasant location with a very ambient interior. The mainly young staff here are enthusiastic and amiable and our waitress was really quite delightful. It's always more enjoyable for the guests when the staff enjoy what they are doing. Steak was cooked just as I wanted it and if you dont like chunky trips ask for an alternative. The chef is quite receptive within reason. It's a higher end price bracket but when they achieve the standards they can it's worth it.

Not far from Bowness,we were recommended by a fellow Hotel guest.Plenty of parking.Seating was comfortable and the service was polite. We had the celeriac and cheese pie and onion gravy -was really hot and tasty. We didnât have dessert -shame no hot desserts, but the usual stuff.Overall we did enjoy.

We'd originally planned to visit the Easy Breeze but despite stating online that it's open 11am to midnight, they were putting the tables out when we arrived and were opening for the football later!!My friends had previously visited the Country Hut and enjoyed it. It was quiet, early evening, but the young lady serving was friendly and made some decent cocktails. The Rum Punch did pack a punch, you could really taste the alcohol, not always the case.I'd like to revisit when it's buzzing.

With a fascinating history as a centre of the spice trade, Cumbrian cuisine has a rich heritage, and local specialities have long included exotic spices with favourites such as Cumberland sausage, potted shrimps, Grasmere gingerbread, and of course, stick
Beautiful setting with lovely gardens. Food is a Far Eastern fusion with amazing flavours. All plates are sharing even soups which come in smaller bowls. Good house wine by the carafe. The ambiance is great with lots of space and attentive staff.
