My friend took me here without telling me what was so special about this place. It looked very inviting in bright colours and comfortable seating. Service very quick and friendly, prices reasonable. Food delicious, menu card adequate. Only halfway through the meal was I told that most of the staff is mentally handicapped; she blew me away! Only one mistake was made (wrong wine), but quickly corrected. Outdoor seating in busy car-less street, blankets provided. Inside more comfortable in this time of the year. Highly recommended!

Even though there is nothing much for vegetarians, the waiter (I didn't ask his name) was very friendly and suggested good options. He even asked the cook to make some variations in the regular menu to suit our diet. The portions were of good size. Looked like its quite popular with the locals too. They have a nice bar with lot of options.

Atmospheric restaurant, pleasant staff and hearty food. I enjoyed the sole wrapped in thin bacon even though it was a bit overcooked and a very large portion. My wife liked the pork steak; once again, the portion was pretty large. They also offer seating in a pleasant all-weather terrace; a pleasant place to sit during our windy evening.

We had a light supper at Vriendschap on a cold dark night. We ordered shrimp bisque and a Tom Ka with bean sprouts and other veggies in it. Both soups were delicious. My bottle of Zeeland apple juice was so unusually delicious that my wife had to order a bottle for herself. The lust for new flavors got the better of us, and we ordered some shrimp kroket which were also delicious. The wait staff were helpful and polite, and food arrived reasonably promptly. One delightfully charming staff member chatted with us when we found out she was from Indonesia. Vriendschap was the most memorable restaurant that we visited in Middelburg, and we recommend it very highly for atmosphere, friendliness, taste, and value.Hello dear Staidthere,Thank you so much for your nice review. Even though there were no vegan options and only one vegetarian option, the vegetarian option was veganised for me. The personnel is friendly, the atmosphere is charming and relaxed and it is child-friendly with a playground for the smaller children. The children's menus come with a special surprise which is popular.

This place is just so cool. I love bookstores and in the middle of this store they have a cafe.I had a salad which was tasty and fresh.It's always very busy so it's not a romantic place to eat at.It's maybe a little unusual to have a good place in a bookstore but try it out when being in Middelburg.I go here every time I'm in Zeeland, it has become tradition.This bookstore has not only a cafe to offer but also tons of books, Magazins, board games, and much much more.It's location is on the Markt place.

Good relaxing but staff was low level. Before you finished your drink they asked you if you want another one. One waiter does not know that the other one asked you, so the same story again.So at the end it only looks like they are after your money.

Not perfect but still wonderful!We had a very nice evening at this gourmet restaurant.The service was nice, the lady tried real hard to explain things in english and to make our dinner as perfect as possible.I love the ambiance. And I adore the dessert. Ok, Im pretty impressed for the things we got and the money we spent on it.The location isnt as center as I expected but still acceptable as its still withing walking distance from the towncenter.

Whilst wandering around Veere, we stumbled upon this restaurant. To be honest we were slightly disappointed. Staff very friendly, lovely location and decor. Nevertheless there was a discrepancy between the service, food and image they portray. Food was disappointing and we both had stomach troubles afterwards. We don't mind splurging on good food and wine, but the price quality ratio was not up to scratch.
