It is in the Minangkabau Highlands, 90 km by road from the West Sumatran capital city of Padang. The whole area is directly adjacent to the Agam Regency, and is located at 0°18′20″S 100°22′9″E / 0.30556°S 100.36917°E / -0.30556; 100.36917, near the volcanoes Mount Singgalang (inactive) and Mount Marapi (still active). We had a wonderful dinner at Turret Cafe. We were greeted by a lovely lady and ordered the steak with fries and beef rendang. Usually Western food isn't great at Indonesian restaurants, but the steak and french fries were perfect! The beef rendang was also very tasty. Great value for money, 100% recommended!

As others have noted, this place is a bit out of town and well worth the drive! The views in every direction are exceptional. GREAT place for breakfast even though I was not enthralled with the special Taruko coffee. The banana pancake was delicious and other dishes ordered by our Indonesian (Balinese) friend were also really good. Most of all, though, the setting cannot be beat!

The view was nice, the meals overall were delicious. Snack, dessert, main course, all quite good. Instagrammable place, ppl said.There's extra fee if you wanna eat at VIP room (still public access) for IDR 15K/person for two hours, or VVIP room (private access) for IDR 100K/room. Good food come with expensive price here, imho. Will visit again only for guidance purpose or gathering occasion with friends.
