Did not end up with any good experiences the last few trips when I got the drivers to recommend sunset seafood dinner at Jimbaran. Relied on TripAdvisor's reviews this time round & visited the highly rated & recommended Bawang Merah Beachfront restaurant (against my driver's wishes)!!! This restaurant is situated just next to Ibiza Beach Club (very cool & funky) & quite away from the crowds. There were about 10 to 15 tables on the beach front which was pretty cosy and not overly congested, perfect for my family dinner. Pricewise I won't consider it cheap, but the group of 4 adults & 1 toddler, we had the Royal Family Honeymoon package which comes with a large lobster (at least 1 Kg), 1 large grilled snapper, calamaris, 8 large king prawns, 8 clams & 4 juices for about IDR 3 million (inclusive of taxes). Food was very presentable & sufficient for us and we found the seafood delicious. No complaints this time round as the price was agreed with Mr. Gede upon ordering & the food delivered was up to expectations. A good experience finally...

We are staying in a villa one street away and wandered down for lunch yesterday. What a fabulous Jimbaran find this was - loved everything about it.Location is directly across from the Jimbaran Bay seafood restaurants that line the sand (no need to visit them !!) - instead try some wonderful Spanish style tapas and fabulous staff hospitality at Akua de Bilbao in a great setting/location, looking through gardens across to the beach.Complimentary bread and 'spanish olive oil' served on arrival and we followed that with potato bravas, barbeque grilled mixed vegetables, meatballs and a garden salad. We could easily have chosen another half dozen plates quite easily from the menu and Specials Board.Relaxing, great service, beers, sangrias or wines as well as cocktails,.Really enjoyed our visit and the number of Spanish guests who arrived while we were there probably confirms its a place chosen by those who know their tapas and Spanish foods.Ola !!!!

Excellent restaurant in front of the sea, fine cuisine with original twist. Intersting their Era menu, with cocktails and dishes inspired by different Eras in Indonesia. We tried a couple of cocktails, really nice. They have the option to order each dish on small or medium size. We ordered small, note that this is very small tapa size. Prior to flight, we decided to check out some fancy restaurant at some prominent premises, so we decided on Ayana. Hotel itself was good and so we settled on one of their restaurants ie the Damar Terrace. We got seated at the sofa by the water pond and served by Rio. Food was okay but service was excellent and the ambience was amazing. The service , the flowery smells and the breeze more than make up for the food though we really love the nasi goreng. What a find. We just got lucky as we walked past this and came back for dinner. Lovely host, terrific staff, really tasty food. We ate the local dishes but noticed many other guests opted for the French good [I guess if you have been on the road in Asia for some time itâs nice to sit down to some good quality Western food every now and again]. Ate here today on our way home from the beach.Staff were very warm and welcoming.Explained all the specials to us aswell.Food was fantastic, we tried to keep our choice traditional, the ribs were beautiful and very meaty. The prawns were absolutely unbelievable and the sauce they came with was phenomenal. Looking at other peoples meals, everything looked delicious.Even to the point of having a one of their children taking great delight in handing out a flower to all diners.The bill was real value.Staff are fantastic and the food is delicious.This is a definate must visit!Thank you Kie for your review! Decided to try out Warung Mufu after reading reviews on Google Maps. I also like to eat satay a lot and was thrilled to know that they serve it. The first night was really good, the satay was done just right, excellent marination, tender and juicy meat with nice little charred bits. The rice and sides were okay too. The owner was really friendly and I was impressed. The meal including a drink was about 180000 IDR.Thus I decided to go back again on the second night before flying back home. Hoping to wrap up the meal. The chef was conducting a cooking lesson when I visited. I ordered the same Mixed Satay Set and a drink as usual. This time round it was disappointingly bad. The chicken satay was not thoroughly cooked, it was cold inside and raw while the pork satay was barely cooked too. I highlighted to the waiter and he didn't seemed to think it was an issue and asked if I wanted to be cooked. In the end, the waiter took the remaining chicken satay including a half-eaten stick to grill and served it back to me.While I hope to recommend the restaurant for its good food, it is difficult to not take the subpar attitude and inconsistency on the second night into consideration.
