This restaurant has been open since the first of March. I just heard about it, and thought I'd check it out. What an amazing experience. Firstly as i entered and saw the old clock on the wall, I was reminded of where I was..... This used to be a Chinese restaurant where you thought you'd be paying with your life. The new Indian owners gave the place some life. Painted in a vibrant new colour with tile and trim added, as well as the quartz tables give this place a great feel. The photos around the restaurant give you a mix of culture and meditation.The service was excellent. I met the owner, and what an amazing story he brings to the evening. He was courteous and gracious and shared both stories of his country and about his journey here in Canada.The food too was excellent. The owner was kind enough to explain some of the dishes but in the end I was a bit gun shy and kept to the old standbys. I started with a Veggie Pakora with chutney.... Delicious!!! For mains we had butter chicken and coconut prawns, of course served with bismati rice and naan bread. You must have the garlic naan, it was out of this world. I thoroughly enjoyed the symphony in my mouth, the layers of flavours was incredible. All this while sipping chai tea.Nothing but kudos for this establishment. Not only will I be back to this new jewel in Aldergrove but I suggest you put it on your list of dining out must tries. Iâm not Indo-Canadian but the selection of food here is quite extensive so everyone should be able to find something to satisfy their gormandizic desire..And, without taking out a bank loan to pay the bill at the end!

Greater Vancouver has a wide range of ethnic food choices but surprisingly one of the best choices is in Abbotsford. Spice Kitchen is a great choice for authentic Indian Food. Comfortable warm setting with a wide range of tasty quality Indian Dishes.

Ordered pakoras, tandoori chicken and potato salad. Portion size was generous. Both pakoras and tandoori chicken were flavourful and non greasy. Will definitely return.
