I simply love the Wein- und Bierschanke... It a simple place, not fancy at all, with lots of character and great food. Everything you order there has something special... the Flammkuchen are just great, the meat skewers that they hang from the lamps (in the photo above) are great option!! Everyone will find something delicious to eat here!!But like I said, bring your light spirit and don't expect nothing fancy!

I have known this restaurant for quite some time, even before they moved to their new location in 'Bebelstrasse. The food has always been superb, but the noise level made me give it 4 instead of 5 points. When it fills up (and it fills up quickly, so better make a reservation) you have to shout to your friend to be heard. To the owner: please, please, put up some curtains, rugs or similar items to absorb at least some of the noise.You food is fantastic, but I am so tired of going out to dinner with someone and having to yell to make myself heard

Lovely hidden gem. ! Very welcoming and the restaurant was fully booked when we walked in but they still managed to fit us in. The steak was beautiful and the hospitality of all the staff was brillant. Highly recommended a visit for a super service and food
