Booked in advance and was seated quickly.this was our first visit. We was given plenty of time to choose from a wide range menu, and staff were very helpful with descriptions of items across the menu. Food was served hot and each course was presented beautifully and was really tasty. Cocktails were all served quickly and a wide range could have led to a late night! Booked a table here in July for lunch only to be told they no longer accept Groupon Vouchers which we'd already paid for and was redeemable until oct 2019. Very disappointed we were turned away as we were really looking forward to trying it. Wouldn't recommend for this reason!We are sorry Jayne that your Groupon Voucher was no longer valid. We did inform the company that we were no longer accepting the vouchers. We never turn anyone away at The Bake One, Gosforth, we simply weren't able to accept the voucher. We are very sorry that this was disappointing for you. However, if you contact us we willi be able to make arrangements for you to book a table and give you the opportunity to try some of our great food. We have great Lunch time offers on that I am sure would interest you. Thank you.

Had the house wings with two sides( coleslaw/fries). £12 is great value and the wings were the best Iâve had, which is not to downplay the sides which were also incredibly good. The beer selection is varied and for a restaurant, really good value. I asked for a portion of the nuts to take away, which was no problem and a very generous amount. All this, coupled with great service from the guys who were on( my apologies, not rude but not one for name badge staring and being over familiar. As someone who works in a shop, common courtesy and good manners dont require first name terms on the first visit. Although Iâd easily get them a beer!) made this a truly enjoyable visit and Iâd recommend Coop to anyone and everyone. This recommendation is reinforced by the fact I was flying solo and still thoroughly enjoyed it.Nice review, glad you liked it - thanks!

I was treated to lunch to celebrate my birthday.The atmosphere was great,the eating area was quirky and pleasant.The staff were friendly and efficient.I ordered fish and chips and a chocolate sundae ,as it was a special occasion,and have absolutely no complaints about the meal..It was delivered promptly with minimum waiting time and was extremely tasty.I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.Hi StephenJCressey,Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us such great feedback! My partner and I had a delicious meal here. Very welcoming staff from beginning to end. We had a lovely server (Rebecca i think her name was) she was so friendly and nothing was any bother to her. Iâm coeliac so itâs fantastic for me as I can totally relax and eat with confidence as they have a gluten free menu and accredited by the coeliac society. The chicken was delicious and love the onion thing and the chips, the crepe brûlée is amazing. My partner had rib eye steak and he said it was great. It was very busy as it was a Friday night but we didnât have to wait long for our food. Great atmosphere and lovely place and super friendly staff. My family and I have eaten here several times over the past few years and always found the portions plentiful and food flavoursome. Itâs never been cheap, but previously justified against the quality of the food, good service and decent portions. We ate here last night and was very disappointed. The menu is now very overpriced and portions are very small. I ordered the lamb skewer (£17) and 4 small pieces of lamb arrived along with a tiny portion of rice? The lamb was also very tough. I certainly didnât think it was worth £17. My family ordered a variety of other main meals and all commented that they were not as flavoursome as previous meals and smaller. The service was a little slow and we were waiting on drinks for quite a while. Iâm not sure weâll be back here, which is such a shame as we previously ate here regularly. We might have given them another try, but the prices are just too high now for what you get.

I visited this restaurant this evening, it was a special occasion for my brother, we couldnât of been more pleased with this restaurant from start to finish! Aaron greeted us, recommended us the perfect drinks and cocktails, he spent time with us talking us through the dishes and put us at ease almost instantly with his charisma and personality! His service was phenomenal, the man desperately needs a promotion or a pay rise! He really made our whole experience! All the staff were very good but in particular Aaron really stood out and went the extra mile to make our evening perfect. The food is beautiful as well, lovely relaxed atmosphere and the restaurant isnât too loud or overcrowded which is a nice surprise for a Saturday night! Will definitely visit again next time Iâm in Newcastle!

Just moved in a stone's throw from here and I've been twice in a week. Great food, excellent service and some interesting Turkish wines - rarely seen.I've tried both the a la carte and the early evening special menus. Both great.
