Very nice Greek restaurant! Polite and friendly service and very good food. The only thing I was missing was meals with fried potatoes instead of rice.

This place had different owners in the past and was known good food and good value. I heard that there is a new owner who changed the looks but also changed the menu and the quality. Today I invited our neighbors and could convince myself of the fabulous food. As we came in I was surprised by the nice interior. The tables create a feel of an Italian Trattoria and the booths are comfortable as in a good American restaurants. We took a booth which I which give little more privacy. The menu has a variety of mostly German and Greek food but you'll find also other offers. The specials of the day are really special. I ordered Greek wine that came with special recommendation of the owner. Great taste. Very special as anything else we tasted that night. I had delicious fresh fish which you won't find in this area quite often. Our friends had great and rich German meals and my wife had delicious salad. We ended our meal with quince dessert with vanilla ice in port wine that went well with the bitter orange liquor. The owner took time to explain us how the quince dessert is made. He visited our table whenever it was adequate, not too often but always at the right time. And all that for a proper price. Great to have a 5 star restaurant around the corner with good value. Yes, it was incredible! Both of us donât speak a drop of Greek, just arrived in Stuttgart and needed a dinner. Luckily, located just around the corner was Retsinadiko. We walked in and was told they were full (they were except one table), and as we walked out of the place, we heard Stop! Turned out the table had cancelled, and it was ours. What happened next is very rare in the restaurant world â not knowing any German or Greek, the owner and head Chef himself (âBobbyâ as we called him) came to our table and ordered for us. He explained everything in English and created custom plates. We started with a tomato cased sauce with cheese, deep fried feta cheese, fried Zucchini & Squash, Tzatziki to start with. Oh, I almost forgot the licorice flavored liquor on ice we started with â what a great way to start a meal! The first courses were amazing! Then we had skewered pork medallions and then a minced meat stuffed with cheese. To say it was excellent would be a huge understatement. This was the best meal Iâve had in a long long time! What a treat indeed. Service was over the top awesome, the atmosphere just right and you can tell this is a regular joint for many people. Its not a touristy place, itâs the real deal that has been in the family for at least 3 generations. We finished up with a cake and ice cream dish which was perfect â it hit the spot, just the right mix of sweets! If youâve never eaten here â come you will not regret it! Amazing dinner â if I could give it 6 stars I would!!!Dear John, Dear Arlis,what can I say? I woke up seeing this amazing review of our Restaurant.I just can say thank you for being my guests. Came here after another reservation fell through and it blew our minds. The saganaki and the octopus appetizers were delicious. Highly recommend them. I had the gyro and my husband had the lamb chops. Both were delicious. A definite local favorite when in Stuttgart. Get the Greek rose.

On a Thursday night, the restaurant was almost full, and we had no reservation. They found us a nice table and we had a great dinner. The food was excellent and the price was really reasonable.

We always come here for the lamb dishes, whether itâs the cutlets or oven baked, always delicious. Donât miss the starters-the taramasalata especially is excellent. Highly recommendable.

So schlecht haben wir schon lange nicht mehr gegessen!Und mit EC-Karte kann man nicht bezahlen,nur Bargeld.Eine Dorade für 16,-- Euro kam total verbrannt und echt unappetitlich auf den Tisch.Brr!Die kleinen Tellergerichte sind billig,aber auch sehr salzig und wenig lecker.Wir kommen bestimmt nicht wieder!

Wir waren heute Abend spontan in der Taverne. Empfang war herzlich und nett. Tolle Speisen, mehrere Fischgerichte. Hatten drei Hauptgerichte und mehrere Vorspeisen. Es gab sogar Livemusik.

My in-laws have been coming here since the restaurant opened (which I heard was in 1989). And we have also been coming here with our son since he was a baby. The service is friendly and familial. The food is *excellent* and cooked to order. As many here have stated, the tzatziki is to die for. The souvlaki are perfect, the beans perfectly seasoned...darn it, it's ALL good! And, of course, an ouzo on the house (and a tasty one too) at the end. If you're in Ludwigsburg and like Greek food - go here!

The atmosphere is nice, staff were kind. Food is good special the meet grills. Well served enough to eat. Wine suggestion was also appropriated. Price regular.
