Die Lage und Speisekarte animierten uns dort zu Essen. Die Speisen waren sehr gut und es schmeckten. Was allerdings fehlte: es war kein Gewürz auf dem Tisch. Salz musste erst angefordert werden. Bei der Bestellung meiner Frau war eine Schüssel Blattsalat dabei. Da wir wissen, dass diese Angabe variabel sind und im Blattsalat oft auch andere Zutaten sind, haben wir gebeten, wegen der Allergie meiner Frau, rohe Karotten weg zu lassen. Ergebnis: kein Salat.Auf unsere Reklamation stellte die Bedienung ein Tellerchen, unangemacht, mit 1 Blatt Radicchio und 2 Scheiben Tomaten auf den Tisch. Auf unsere Erwiderung, dass bei dem Gericht Blattsalat mit Champignon angegeben war, brachte sie dann die Karte und siehe da wir hatten Recht. Erst daraufhin brachte sie eine kleines Schälchen mit Salat. Die Bedienung war allerdings ziemlich unwirsch dabei. Der uns angebote Föhrer Wein war trinkbar aber für 0,2 ctltr mit 7⬠schlicht zu teuer.Wir können also dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen.

Nettes Restaurant in Wyk, Parkmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung, Ambiente nett und maritim mit unaufdringlichem Schnickschnack, sauber, sehr aufmerksamer Service und sehr freundlich und herzlich obwohl das Restaurant bis auf den letzten Tisch ausgebucht war, recht groÃe Auswahl auf der Karte und vom Stil her solide Nordsee-Küche bzw gut bürgerlich, es hat uns gut geschmeckt, groÃe Portionen, Preise sehr angemessen. Fazit: Empfehlung.

Nachdem wir kurz nach der Neueröffnung Ostern 2018 bereits zweimal positiv überrascht wurden, waren wir auch im Sommerurlaub auf Föhr mit drei Familien hier essen. Zunächst muss man den auÃerordentlich guten Service loben. Nicht nur freundlich und kompetent, sondern es wird auch mitgedacht. Zunächst werden die Kindergerichte reserviert, so dass die Kleinen erstmal etwas zu essen haben. Sehr zügig danach kam auch das Essen für die Erwachsenen. Die Portionen sind groà und Preis/ Leistung Stimmt hier einfach nur. Ich würde das Essen als "gutbürgerlich" bezeichnen. Leckere Fleisch und Fischgerichte und eine erstaunlich groÃe Auswahl an Weinen sowohl offen im Ausschank, als auch in Flaschen. Wir haben Ostern im Gastraum gesessen. Dieser ist sehr nett. Jetzt im Sommer haben wir drauÃen gesessen und konnten die starken dann und landenden Kleinflugzeuge beobachten; das hat natürlich 'was. Das Restaurant wirkt etwas unscheinbar, ist aber auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Besten Dank an die Küche und das Serviceteam. Ich für meinen Teil möchte beide Besucher nicht missen.

Ganz überrascht war ich, das man wohl reservieren muÃ! Zum Glück gab man mir einen Platz an einem gröÃeren Tisch zu anderen Gästen. Ich bestellte Heringe in SahnesoÃe. Die waren zwar sehr zart aber viel zu sauer!AuÃerdem hatte man vergessen, mir die Tagesgerichte vorzustellen. Schade das da angebotene hätte mir mehr zugesagt. Ich hörte es am Nachbartisch, aber da kam dann auch schon mein Essen.

The place was very clean. Like you clould eat from the ground even in the toilet.The service was perfect. The waiter was very nice and had a positive and friendly appearance. He was also helpfull.We ordered sushi plate for 3 persons. Two mixed and one vegan. We had to wait a bit longer for the food than expected but it was worth it. It was very delicious.The only problem I can mention is that we got too little ginger for the sushi. If they gave double the ammount of ginger than they did, everything would have been perfect.

We booked a table for eight in advance and were seated the moment we walked through the door on a Friday (at 8 pm). Some friends who did not have a reservation were turned away because there were no spare tables. So this is a pretty popular restaurant and one should avoid showing up without a booking, especially on weekends. The friendly waiter looked after us all evening. Following his advice, some of us had the dish of the dayâbattered fish and prawns with warm potato salad. The food did not disappoint, but did not excite either. Do not expect Mediterranean-style fish delicacies. This is more of a rustic than gourmet restaurant.

Fities is a nice little restaurant in the pedestrian zone of Wyk. It has a few tables outside too. The ambience is modern, nice and cozy. Probably it was recently refurbished, because we can't share the impression of a canteen-like atmosphere at all.Not surprisingly, the menu focuses on fish and meat dishes, but includes a few vegetarian options too. Everything we had was nice. The service was good, but not entirely flawless. And the value was adequate.So when in Wyk and dining out, Fities is one of restaurants to include in your dinner rotation.

This is yet another example where the top rated restaurant is far from being the best in town. In many occasions a popular restaurant with good value makes it to the top of TA. But in this case I really don't get it. The ambience is nothing special at all, simple and little attention to detail. The menu features rustic cuisine, well executed and tasty, but bordering expensive.My main issue with the place is that the customer is NOT king. No credit cards accepted, no reservations. A service that is efficient, but that doesn't respond well to criticism at all. Asking when food will be served 50 min after it was ordered will result in an answer "How do I know? Your food will be served when your order is due..." and a long rambling how difficult it is to run a restaurant nowadays. And since we complained that we waited for an hour, we were shown an order slip that proved we were in fact waiting for as little as 50 min...Well, our food was served just 2 minutes after. Again, the food was good. But with the shortcomings the place has, it's difficult to understand why this place is so well rated.So when you are just looking for a good meal, the place may be right. If you have any kind of elevated expectations towards your dinner, avoid!

Itâs essential that the staff pays attention to the customerd when they arrive. However it took 15 minutes to get the waiter to take our drink order. Food was good and the portions were big but we were really suprised that they didnât accept credit card, only cash was possible. It seems that Germany is still old fashioned what comes to paying.

Alt Wyk is a one star Michelin rated restaurant on in Wyk, located in the pedestrian area close to the seafront. The restaurant resides in an old and charming building, and the interior matches the exterior, nice, cozy and upscale. It's owned and run by a friendly German couple.The menu features a set menu with dishes taken from the à la carte menu. If you don't go for the set menu, beware that the portions aren't large and designed to allow you eating appetizers, a main and dessert and leave the restaurant pleasantly filled.The cuisine can be called "sophisticated German". Fortunately the chef doesn't follow the latest fashion of food artistery, but creates dishes with manageable complexity and a keen focus on the taste. Everything we had was excellent and flawlessly prepared, accompanied by very nice wines by the glass.The service is friendly and competent. Prices may be expensive for Foehr, but can be considered modest for a Michelin star restaurant and definitely adequate for the quality you get.All in all, we had a very pleasant evening. Although we are far from knowing all restaurants on Foehr, we would be very surprised if there was any place on the island that can challenge Alt Wyk when it comes to fine dining. Highly recommended.
