Cozy and warm restaurant, the building is wood made and so the internal. We had a friend lunch. Everyone tried something different and everyone was satisfied at the end, but the quality of the food is improbable. Very kind and nice staff, good prices . Crowded during high season.

Unfortunately in this region English is not widely spoken. Neither are English menu available. It's more confusing because both German and Italian is used . I admit being embarrassed about my lack of linguistic ability but this restaurant in common with many does not try to help with English translations. The waiter was very busy and seemed to be the only person front of house. Food was good especially the mushroom soup and venison goulash ( thanks to Google translate !) although my daughter did not enjoy the dumplings, bad choice rather than badly cooked. Nice atmosphere inside and sure will be a hit during ski season as bar would be ideal après ski venue

Most people don't actually stay overnight at the Rifugio, but make the trek up from the parking lot at Auronzo, only 1.5 hours away on foot. As a result, the path looks like a veritable highway in summer, with literally hundreds and hundreds of people making the trek up. However, by the end of the afternoon the crowds start thinning out. My advice therefore is to spend the night! OK, you still won't be alone but it will be much better! We didn't take the main, wider path up, but once we got to the pass right next to the bottom of the Tre Cime, we first made our way up to a WWI bunker/tunnel that was just up above the pass and from there followed a narrower track through the scree slope directly to the Rifugio! Great views from the bunker! There were a LOT fewer people along this narrower path too! As for the Rifugio itself, although the facilities are basic, the place is run like a tight ship by a very friendly crew (except for one miserable fella!). The bathrooms are clean, the food was excellent, and although the dormitories are very tight (we had an 8-bunk one for our group of 7), they were clean too. The place is like a rabbits' warren, though, with some rooms reachable only through other dormitories. As it's a very popular place, book well ahead (by email). Make sure you get there by 6 PM, as they'll give your room away after that. No deposit necessary. Blankets are provided so you only need a sleeping bag liner or sheet. Lights out by 10, but by then most people are tired anyway. Just B&B is possible so you can order à la carte dinner, but we opted for half-board at 54 euros. Dinner starts between 7 and 7.30. Three courses. Really good! Large pitchers of good house wine for only 15 euros. Get up at day break (5 am that was for us) so you can watch the sun rise above two small lakes just behind the Rifugio and then cast its first orange glow onto the magnificent Tre Cime! It's incredibly peaceful before the hordes once again start descending on the place as of 10 o'clock! By then we'd moved on:)

The location is absolutely stunning with superb views to Croda Rossa and all Sextener Alps. The place is very rustical and also a bit run down. Table were made in wood but not refined and scratching. Toilets were just basic and cleaning seemed a kind of option for the management. Otti the owner is very intrusive, talks very loud and enforces your choice with his special recommendations. Food was on the same level: good portion but very rustical style with mixed strong flavours and too spicy. The "maccaroni Nemes" was the best of the full lunch for three people. It's more expensive than similar locations nearby and watch out Otti does not accept credit cards and he did not issued a regular bill (ricevuta fiscale or fattura) and that happened with all our individual bills. Be forewarned.

We were walking the established trail heading for Moos in early September ’19.We’d already stopped higher up for lunch and a beer but by time we reached here we were hot and weary and it was my birthday so another beer was in order and it’s still quite a hike to Moos.Sitting out on the veranda area at the bench tables it was very warm in the sunshine there’s a decent enough view of the valley below.Service was fairly quick and we just ordered our drinks, plenty of people were eating even though it was around mid-afternoon.The place is on what’s still a working farm so you pass through cattle on the approach and there’s some donkeys in the pasture too so they welcomed a scratch behind the ears as we departed.Recommend this as a stopping off point.

We have booked this restaurant during our month of holidays on Alps. Location is very nice with dining rooms very well decorated in typical Tyrolian style. There is also a terrace, a small wellkept garden and a winter garden. We decided for dining indoor. Menu has a very good offer of traditional recipes, fish preparations inclusive. First disappointment was the wine list: simply not exhisting with an offer of few kinds of bottles selected by cepage, but really no choice and no cellar. Service was a bit unprofessional: wine and water were delivered after first course was already served despite that we have requested in advance; cutlery was not promptly replaced, but we had to claim to get clean ones after the first course; table was not cleaned up before dessert service. We had as starter deer salami and porcini mushrooms with artichokes: unfortunately mushrooms and artichokes were served at refrigerator temperature (kitchen failure). One main course was grilled liver which was done at perfection together with exceptional tasty potatoes. Another main course was boiled veal meat with vegetable sauce, which was very good. Top of our meal was dessert: the best tiramisù ever, world class, exceptional and so good. All in all a good restaurant with high potential but in need of urgent actions for service and wine cellar. Price is correct, a bit more expensive than other local options.

Small, but very cosy cabin on one of the longest Giant Slalom courses in Südtirol. Nice terrace, good food and drinks. Surprising to see, that exclusively Italians are the ones with the worst ratings. Maybe they should bear in mind, that place they are writing about is NOT located in Italy, but in Südtirol with a completely different culture.
