We didn't want to go to this restaurant as there was no English menu nor anybody spoke English. But as the restaurant we chose was closed we took a chance and good we did. Owner despite language barrier was very attentive and willing to help. Fortunately menu favourites were written on a big pictures (mirrors) hanging on the walls hence we worked out what to order. Food was really good quality and interesting in combination and preparation. we had 3 different meals (including schnitzel of course) and all were well worth the money and time we spent there. Good beer too. Recommended. By the way. Ettenheim is hidden gem. Beautiful small town.

Very nice Restaurant inside a winery with barn atmosphere, but high class Service and Food. We had the vegetarian menue and our son took the fish. Generally - that part of Germany does not have Access to fresh fish, so there is a natural Limit to the Quality in this aspect. Take the vegetarian menu instead is my recommendation. Themed autumn it was outstanding. Not ladled with cream/butter sauces but composed by a cook who has a highly developed sense of taste and ingredients. Actually the food was the highlight, the wines were ok but nothing outstanding. Homebaked bread with it and we were happy.

I wasn't too excited to go here. There was a line (which actually moved pretty quickly) and I am always suspicious when there is a gimmick. Here, it was that food is delivered on a little roller coaster to the table. My son really wanted to go here, so I gave in.Once seated, you order from a touch screen computer. You can add things to the order as you go along (let's say you want a second beverage). They have a pretty neat system for getting it all delivered and the food was actually pretty good! I had salmon and my husband had spaghetti. I can't remember what my son had, but he liked it. You pay on the way out for your entire group. A memorable experience!

We had a good stay at this hotel, ideal location to visit Europapark as it is only 5' walking.Breakfast was very good, people were friendly, rooms were OK.Beds were a little bit to hard for us but in general we were satisfied with this hotel

Nach einem Ausflug mussten wir uns mit 7 Personen unbedingt stärken. Wir entschieden uns für Hummels Strausse in Ettenheimweiler. An Navifahrer gleich eine klare Botschaft, die Strasse werdet ihr im Navi nicht finden. Fahrt nach Ettenheimweiler nach der scharfen Linkskurve. Kommt die Strasse Margarten, dort einbiegen. Hier sieht man auch den Besen hängen. Dann geht es auf einer schmalen Strasse noch eine gefühlte Ewigkeit weiter. Und erst dann seid ihr da. Traumhafte Lage inmitten von Reben und alten Bäumen. Sehr schöner Spielplatz und ein Brunnen für die Kinder. Innen wie AuÃen ist die StrauÃe wirklich aufwändig und toll eingerichtet. Sehr schön. Der Service ist wirklich ausgesprochen flott und professionell unterwegs. Wir tranken Säfte und Wein. Dazu bestellten wir Schnitzel mit Brot, Wurstsalat mit Brägele, Flammkuchen und Vesperteller. Das Essen wurde flott geliefert. Und alles war schön angerichtet und schmeckte richtig lecker. Ja es stimmt die Toiletten sind jetzt nicht ganz auf der Zeit, aber sie sind sauber und mehr brauchen wir auch nicht. Klare Empfehlung, von der Lage gibt es kaum eine schönere Strausse. Und Preis-Leistung 1a.

The food is really fresh and has great taste. The cook knows what heâs doing! Great homemade ice tea which our kids loved. We had a very good bottle of German red wine, a suggestion by the owner. Everything from the meals till deserts was so tasteful! The people are so friendly and professional. We hope to come back one day!

We visited without reservation and seated in 5 minutes and we were lucky. When we finished the food we found more than 10 people are waiting. Food was very good typical German and cheap. Must try home made spatzle.

After a long day at EuropaPark, the kids were tired and we wanted to have dinner near our apartment. The Apollon restaurant was not full, there were empty tables but a senior staff with long greasy hair simple dismissed my request for orders and said "we are full". So what your review is about? you dont taste our services, our food - nothing, you just angry that you dont get some place in our restaurant and give us bad points on everything what you didnt taste - shame on you - this is not honest, and even just a bad behavior. Bar /Resturant attached to its hotel. The staff are very friendly and very helpful to make sure you enjoyed your time at the restaurant.Menu is nice and simple and covers all taste buds of your average family.
