If you visit this venue, do take care of opening hours of the kitchen. I ended up rather lonely with a small Goulash soup (good quality) as nothing else could be served (I was slightly out of kitchen opening hours.I had hoped to have a view of the charming Riverside but the old buildings dont allow for that.

I stayed in Heide Camp a couple of times with a friend, the lady at the reception is always friendly, even if my deutsch is not really good. the rooms are basic but spacefull. the breakfast is really really something, you've got everything, really good taste, and all that for just 2 euros on top of the room price. Only thing is have to start the breakfast at 10AM.

In de avond een hapje gaan eten hier. Leuk terras maar er staat erg veel wind helaas. Bediening is vriendelijk maar nog onwennig. Kwaliteit van het eten is goed maar de prijzen niet altijd. Viergangen wordt aangeboden voor â¬40, als we slechts 2 gangen bestellen moeten we nog ruim in de â¬30 betalen, dat is teveel en is gelukkig ook aangepast op ons verzoek. Paar kleine ruimtes binnen dus reserveren is voor binnen aan te raden. Terras nabij de watermolen is ruim en met een prima uitzicht.

The Burghof does look a bit run down but the food is good and the portions are generous. We had schnitzels and pork filet with chips and salad. The meat was good if not a little too well done so that the pork was not as succulent as it might have been. The chips were very good. The meal was lovely and hot.The staff were friendly.

Having heard good references on this place we decided to try it ourselves when we wanted to get together as nephews!!(I was born in the village) No regrets: a very very nice tasty set-menu of duck and ostrich but the clear winner was the "game-soup" ! For me THE best soup I had in restaurants, richly filled with a perfect taste - go and try it out.
