Great straight off the street with no reservation. One of the best on the main rd in Bad Wiessee (tried the one over the rd-this is streets ahead) food brilliant, beer local and the restaurant was packed both times we went. Children appreciative

Nothing special on the menu, nor anything on the menu is worth a second try. The place is indeed a sports bar fancied by soccer fans on the adjacent bar area. Diner seems to be a drag for the owners. Pizza way below average with only diferent different choices. Stay away from chicken wings. Steak is ok but nothing special. Would not go again. Also no English speaking service. Dear guests, we find it very surprising that you rate our restaurant below average. You have been asked minimum two times during and after your meal if everything was ok. According to our service staff, you had nothing to complain about. Our homemade pizza is well known and even better reputated. The same applies as well to our crispy, bread crumbed chicken wings as our steaks. We have a menue with about 30 different starters and main courses, which are all prepared upon order. If there is nothing, which caters your requirements/ expectations, we really can't help it. Moreover we find it very surprising, that you consider our service staff not to ne alle to speak English. I can restassure you, that all our staff is very capable to hold a conversation in English. According to the two staff, who served your group one member of your group spoke German. Obviously then our staff adresses you in German. Certainly it is your right to have your own opinion about your stay in our restaurant. We we would like to urge you for future visits in any other restaurants to be fair and openly tell the service staff, if something is not to your satisfaction. It is very easy to write something in the Internet rather than asking i.e. for the Manager in the restaurant. Mistakes may happen, but you should adress them openly, when you are being asked. Please so not hesitate to contact us in [email protected] should you wish to discuss this matter further.

Passed there by coincidence when walking from Tegernsee to Oedberg. It is like a little coffee-house offering home-made cakes, food and lemonate plus some Bavarian articles. Cake, lemonade and cappuccino were of excellent quality and we enjoyed having it in the garden.

Wir waren kürzlich zum Kaffee im Dürnbecker. Dazu folgende Bemerkungen : Kaffee schmeckt mega. An der Freundlichkeit gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Die Karte ist sehr umfangreich. Die Qualität der Speisen kann ich nur optisch bewerten, sieht aber frisch und gut aus.Und eines möchte ich nicht unerwähnt lassen : Im Gegensatz zu einigen anderen Lokalen für die sogenannte Promis ihren Namen hergeben, ist Frau Dietel offenbar nicht nur anwesend sondern arbeitet selbst mit.

Went in on Saturday night without a reservation. Place was swamped, but they worked to fit us in. This is a fun place and draws locals and repeat business from tourists. Great menu and the food is real good. My calf liver was tender and the sauce was to die for. The inside decor is so well done. When we're back in this area we'll do it again. We stranded at this restaurant after a exhausting hike and found a place on the big terrace, overlooking Starnberg and the lake. The service was friendly and fast. The menu had not too many items, but everything sounded delicious and was priced reasonable. After we ordered, the waitress came back to inform us, that we have to wait a little, because the kitchen has to make fresh dumplings. It was worth the wait, because the dumpling are delicious and maybe the best I ever had! No joke! But the food in general was really good and the plates full. Just what you need after hiking. We will definitely come back, when we are in the area again.

Went here with my colleague because the restaurant near our hotel was closed but when we arrived here we already felt no need to eat so we just have some drinks.The restaurant are located next to the lake and you need to cross the train track so be aware when the bell rings.

This fine Bavarian restaurant, nicely located in Gmund, a town on the bank of Tegernsee lake, was completely renovated and recently reopened, so some friends who live in nearby Tegernsee invited us to have dinner there. We were very impressed!The decor is old traditional, with dark wood wainscotting. We had typical Bavarian/Tirolean dishes, Schweinebraten (roast pork) for me, and all four of us declared our selections to be very tasty. The staff were friendly and prompt, and helpful in suggesting dishes to try.All in all, a very pleasant evening.

This restaurant was recommended to us by locals. It opens at 17:30.We were in the mood for schnitzel. I had the regular portion and myHusband had the "RiesengroÃe" size which translated is "huge" and itWas. It took up the whole plate! The dinner was wonderful. It cameWith a lovely little appetizer and a fresh salad then the main dish.The only problem is that we were so full we had to take some home.Would definitely come back here again to eat! I would recommendReservations as it isn't that large inside. We were lucky the night weCame and there was room for us.

Some locals recommended this place for lunch and it turned out to be a great local find. Nothing fancy but very homely in a great setting with views of the lake and alps, very good local food and beer.
