Green Gallery alla Mora Bianca

This place was rated well on TA so we thought we would try it.When we arrived at about 7.45 it was empty, but we thought ‘well it’s early yet’ so we sat down. The staff were very nice and we were given complimentary Prosecco and small amuse vouches while we scanned the menu.We ordered bruschetta between us which was simply quartered plum tomatoes on toast....no other herbs or oils.... we thought ‘how rustic and quaint!’ And politely ate that.We then ordered a mixed fish som potato’s frittata and mixed salads. The salads and chips arrived reasonably soon and we tried a few chips...which were good! However we then waited half an hour for the fish, by which time we had eaten all the chips! All the time only one other couple had come in. Another family came in, sat down and looked at the menu, then got up and left! Bad sign!!!We had deserts, which were tasty but tiny! The red wine was ok, not great and gave us a hangover this morning! There were one or two other niggles....no balsamic vinegar for the salad. They brought a glaze! One of the fish was missing from the mixed fish and there were no waiting staff in the room while we ate, so we couldn’t get anything we needed! Not a good way to run a restaurant!!!To top it off, they couldn’t get their card machine to work, so we had to scrape the 100 Euro together from what we had in cash! It was a lot of money for what we had.I think I would give this one a miss on balance!

While on holidays in Costa rei, my sono came up with a desire for sushi. Apparently this was the only place around without having to drive all the way up to Cagliari. Nice terrace, nice waitress, lounge-like atmosphere with soft music. We took some 4-5 different rolls (inside out style, there are 6 to 8 in each rolls type) and with the exception of two classics they are extremely 'fusion' style (philadelphia a red berries over a maki with fried shrimp) but overall very tasty. The menu also includes a few non sushi options, salmon or tuna steaks and some chicken. Some maki/rolls also feature vegetable and meat. Overall I was positively impressed and I think it is also a good spot for a drink over a few rolls. there are other places nearby for a drink but most of them were much noisier....which could also be a better option depending on your tastes....
