Hoefstad is a very nice brasserie in a quite part of Genk but just about 1500 meters away from the heart of the town. They serve excellent food. The steak is very recommendable, Their entrecote (Sirloin) is from the french Limousin breed, top quality meat, very well cooked to order. Great tasting french fries. A desert menu with great apple pie and lots of ice cream specialties. They also do just drinks and snacks.

It was recommended by our "Eat and fun" friends, again, we were not disappointed! I ordered a set menu for 44 euro/ p.p , with a small half lobster ( quality was not super, but acceptable) with salad, accompanied with delicious mango curry sauce, main course was 250g steak, it was tender and juicy, with the same salad as lobster appetizer, the dessert was vanilla ice cream with ruba strawberry sauce. Honestly, I am quite happy to find such good steak in Belgium. I give a 4.5 point just because the lobster is a bit let down by the size and quality, overall, great service, great food, nice atmosphere and excellent companies.

Hele lekkere fondues, verschillende formules, fijn om als koppel te gaan maar ook met een groep. Vriendelijke bediening en ook persoonlijk owv de kleine ruimte. De chocoladefondue om af te sluiten is geweldig!!

stopped by for lunch with colleagues and we were all pleasantly surprised. The food was good and filling with large portions. There was some confusion due to language problems, but it was all sorted out and everyone were satisfied.

Located in the Hotel Stiemerheide. Friendly services. Food is average, and a bit pricy. A pity because the previous chef who was excellent, now started the adjacent Restaurant "De Kristalijn" which grew into excellent place.Corneille should improve and keep price/quality in balance. The Brasserie in the same hotel, although with the same cook, is better value for money and, waether permitting has a nice terrace

Have never imagined this small hide-away provided such high standard of food and services as one could expect only from a small number of very expensive restaurants in Tokyo.You can enjoy its garden during the meal too. Do not forget to receive the owner's suggestion for the wine.

first visit. friendly welcome, professional staff, nice setting and view on the open kitchen. We had the 5 course menu, preceeded by 4 very good appetizers. We espacially appreciated the salmon, the coquilles and the dessert. Nice 'après desserts' with the coffee. Complete winelist. Will go back!
