This restaurant was totally unexpected. Housed in an old warehouse you would never expect there to be a fine dining French experience inside. The food is exquisite and the chef places a big focus on sourcing local ingredients.

Jules Verneâs character Phileas Fogg (Foggy) would be excited by this graceful and majestic airliner taking off from the runway on this commanding hillside retreat. Under the control of two highly professional Commanders Andreas and Rina guide us on a journey making us feel that extra special. Besides the splendour of its location we have the cockpit prominently at the front. Itâs called The View and my word it lives up to its name with such splendid views. Horst, Anil, Patrick, Zulkifli, Fauzi,and Amber are our pilots deliver us safely on our trip with a magnificent mouthwatering T Bone Steak.On the upper deck can be found the Equator Lounge where we have a selection of wonderful food from the menus together with a wide range of spirits, wine, and beer. These are delivered with such style, panache, and charm by our Purser Jueraida and her A team of cabin stewards of Danie, Durga, Jay, Tasha, Yiwen and chefs Tan and Ida. My she is very adept tossing over those over easy eggs!Greeting us on board and showing us to our seats we have the kindly humble services of Farish and Abd.There are also those lovely people behind the scenes Jessica, Rohanâs and Shafinaz providing that additional unique service.The Equatorial graces the sky for our journey of a life time, location, views, wonderful array of foods. The Buisness Class and First class suites on 8th and 9th floors are something special and sublime.Moreover to me itâs the people who make this trip, courtesy, respect, happiness, and feeling at home. We came here on a weekday noon with advanced reservation and found that there were already many customers. We ordered 1 duck confit lunch set and 1 BBQ duck (smoked) lunch set. The place was nice and staff were friendly and professional. At a price of only RM24.5, it is really worthwhile to pay a visit to this new outlet -- especially for us who have not yet been to the original restaurant in George Town.
