Queensbay Mall

Queensbay Mall opened for business on 1 December 2006. It is currently the largest, longest and most modern shopping mall in Penang with a gross built up of 2.5 million sq ft and over 1 million sq ft net lettable area. The Mall is located in Bayan Lepas, minutes away from the Penang Bridge, the heart of a prime waterfront development sprawling over a land area of 73 acres. It is the most preferred shopping destination for both the locals and tourists – with 5 levels of retail, Jusco as its anchor tenant with more than 10 junior anchors and 500 retail merchants. Besides a well-planned tenant mix, shoppers can enjoy the “low rise walk-thru” layout which stretches as far as 500 meters with excellent visibility of the shop façade and merchandizing displays. The facility and amenity signages are meticulously planned to enhance the convenience and comfort of the shoppers. The overall interior design and lightings are aimed to create a conducive and safe shopping environment for the whole family. Added to the attractions are the integrated entertainment zone on the third floor that provides a wide range of entertainment and leisure attractions ranging form multiplex to roller skating.Queensbay Mall with its tagline “It’s all happening here!” aptly epitomized the “enriched” lifestyles that Queensbay Mall offers – a place which is vibrant and full of activities, one can shop, play, relax, get together, entertain, be entertained. It is a “family lifestyle mall” of international standard catering to households who are looking for good value for money and the latest in designs and styles. Welcome to Queensbay Mall, it’s all happening here!

Sure, it is just a mall, not that different from others on this island. However, what I like is the mix with restaurants and the cinema. Enough to spend a rainy afternoon or evening there. Even for men...

We're not new to escape games and have been playing everytime when we travelled. We tried two other escape game outlets in penang in our trip and they were disappointing to be honest. Mission Q is the last outlet we tried and it goes above and beyond our expectations! It is the best of all escape outlets that we've ever played in various locations nationwide and in Singapore.
We played room 2 & 5 and amazed that their stories are linked. Make you curious about other rooms. The puzzles are interesting and they used fun technologies to set up the room. And the hamster! XD We really enjoyed the games and we missed penang food as much as Mission Q!

Plaza Premium Lounge

Reviewed By Peggy T - Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia

We were on our way to Langkawi on 13/8/2017 via Penang International Airport and the four of us went to the Premium Plaza Lounge for our lunch since our flight was at 2.55 pm on Air Asia. We used our credit card free lounge access. This is not the first time we went to this particularly Premium Plaza Lounge and in the past couple of times had been a very pleasant experience from the very warm welcome to delicious food plus clean environment. However this time it was just the opposite! The front desk was a sour looking lot and I think they wished no one comes at all! There was no one at the food counter and one had to press a bell before anyone comes out of the kitchen! Food was not replenished until I complained, salad leaves really a very sorry looking sight indeed! The worst was yet to come when I went to order a bowl of noodle soup (as there is no buffet now but order a fixed ala carte menu) As I walked towards the food counter, a huge rat scurried from the bread toaster and ran all along the counter and down the floor to the kitchen! 3 other customers saw it too! My appetite and hunger disappeared with the rat too! This is totally not acceptable and even though I don't pay but they charged the banks, other than the money I believe the food they serve should be hygienic and that goes for the kitchen plus food counter. Please don't tell me that the kitchen staff don't know about all these as I am pretty sure how much of cleaning they do everyday in that place! Leptospirosis is no joke! I am writing this so that the relevant authorities take proper action to ensure the safety of everyone who patronise this place.
On our return flight from Langkawi on 17/8/2017 our flight was delayed so we went to the Premium Plaza Lounge in Langkawi International Airport at 6pm. However, the staff never check on the availability of the food and even though there was no food ( if you take into consideration the cup noodles and bread as food) When I complained, the staff replied that they were going to prepare then but unfortunately by the time we needed to board, we had no proper cooked food despite the fact they swiped our credit card! I believe all PP Lounge should check and top up the food regularly and keep the food warm or tell the customers that food is not ready. Let the customers know before you swipe their credit card that only bread (no jam either) and cup noodles are only available for RM 168!
Totally not acceptable and am really so disgusted with the PP Lounge both at Penang and Langkawi! Please share and repost, thank you!
