Rather small restaurant not far from the market place. We had a limited luncheon for a small appetite, with a nice spaghetti bolognese with lamb with light Italian white wine from Orvieto. Tasted very nice at a tiny but relaxed terrace. They have a small card but varied daily menu. And the waiter was very helpful. Prices are okay.

It began with a nice welcome by the chef and his offer of the specials of the day. The menu is not big but outstanding. You can't find grey gurnard or grey mullet very often on a menu especially in Bavaria. And both are very well presented and absolutely top prepared. It was a wonderful meal. Also the dessert was fine, Sachertorte with some whipped cream on the side. We will go tomorrow again and are really looking forward to it.

This Alm has it all - cute animals for the kids to look at, beautiful surroundings, and delicious food. Everything is homemade which we loved. If you go make sure to get the strawberry milk! The shortest route to the Alm is a 30 minute hike - steep but not too difficult.

We ate here as a large group and were not disappointed - there is an excellent selection of different food and even though it is a fish restaurant, there are meat and non-meat options and some Bavarian specialities. Portions are of a good size and there is an extensive wine menu. Ask to see the schnapps collection - the bottles are enormous!

We have friends who live in nearby Bernau am Chiemsee and have come to this restaurant several times over many years. We are always delighted to find the service excellent and the food of a very good quality - none of your stodgy dumpling, pork in a thick sauce with indifferent red cabbage: here you can eat food which tastes as if it had just been made for you. My husband said his pork loin was the tenderest he has ever had, the Spaetzle-type pasta was superb. I had Kalbsgeschnetzeltes with a puff pastry top - it was enough for two but absolutely yummy. Good thing is that their prices are never cheeky - the slight increase over the years is perfectly justifiable.

After many years visited this outstanding fish restaurant in a new winter pavillion . Superbly prepared main course. Dessert list a bit thin. Wine list needs to be expanded. Friendly staff. Great location, only a path separates the restaurant's deck from the Chiemsee, food is good but nothing special, more casual than fine dining, drinks are fine. Service was good and fast, we were there in April, not all tables were occupied, so not sure how the situation is in summer. Inside the decoration is Bavarian style and the restrooms have bird's sound, so relaxing atmosphere there. Big outdoor area with lounge furniture, biergarten benches and some deck chairs near the lake.There are quite a number parking spaces, which fill up fast. Location is near the autobahn to Salzburg, Munich, so also good for a short break.

Serves very good Bavarian food. Great and friendly service. I enjoyed my trout. It was very convienent since we stayed at the B&B and didn't want to travel too far for food.

Sometimes a well known restaurant charges high prices with poor service. Not the Chiemgauhof. You can depend on excellent service served by some very pretty waitresses, and the food was of a very high standard. In April it was still very busy, in the summer the open eating area will be full. Reservations recommended.A wide range of dishes at reasonable prices. The cold roast beef and salads are a very good choice.
