This one-time home of the author of Vanity Fair in spa town Tunbridge Wells is one of the most charming restaurants in England. An enchanting atmosphere pervades two gloriously elegant dining rooms overlooking the green. The food is equally beguiling. Co-
The ambience, the attentive staff the lovely starter and the equally good main course led me to order a dessert. What a mistake. The mandarin pavlova was underwhelming.Picture a few pieces of mandarin, a teaspoon of verbena sorbet topped with a small circle of dry meringue. Not a pavlova as I know it. I ate it , well it was only a couple or three mouthfuls but what a shame to spoil a good lunch with such as this.

Our inspiration for the food and design of Cote is a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros of Paris. Inspired by new trends, we are dedicated to serving authentic classic brasserie dishes with a modern twist, using high quality produce at great
Brasserie atmosphere, open all day. Early evening geared up to feeding folk before a theatre visit, or groups coming out of the office on weekdays.Food is always tasty, unlike so many places these days. Wine is likewise clearly chosen by someone with taste buds, even the entry level wines by a glass. We have been repeatedly over the past seven years. Our only regret is that they did not open the promised branch in East Grinstead which would be nearer home. They had the building leased but changed their minds, shame!

I Have lived near Tunbridge Weĺls for 10 years and never been here for anything more than cocktails (which have always been amazing!) Today my partner and I came here for a meal before jazz at the Pantiles. Well, I have no words for how amazing the food was. I am THE biggest lover of crackling you will ever come across and I will hands down say this is the best crackling I have ever eaten! (On the belly of porc) the table next to us had the same and we were eyeing his for the taking too!! Best meal out we have had in a long time- and we eat out alot! Wonderful staff, incedible food, great ambience and even better company (I love you Dave Stamp ;-) xx

The Warren Restaurant is an extension of The Crowborough Estate, holding stock of Sussex cattle, Boer goats, Fallow deer, and Wild boar among others which the restaurant draws on for its menu. Given the provenance, the kitchen predominantly cooks British
I booked my motherâs 76th birthday at The Warren and we all travelled down separately from London and Sevenoaks to meet for lunch there. When we arrived, the restaurant was shut and there was a note saying that due to technical difficulties, the restaurant was closed. I received no email nor telephone call which would have prevented this wasted journey. I have since called 3 times and have not revived a call back. I think this is unprecedented in my experience.I wouldnât go here. There is clearly something peculiar at large here. Avoid at all costs.

Another example of falling for vastly overrating reviews, also on tripadvisor.Because of these reviews we had great expectations when dropping impromptu into this tiny place with tiny tables and bad air. This place is run by a husband and wife team. The husband, a heavy smoker, prepares formulaic pasta dishes, most of the swimming in a cherry tomato and garlic sauce. Our Spaghetti Carbonara were drowned in too much oil. The fish of the day clearly came from the freezer of was as tough as cardboard. What a waste of an evening! Learning from experience helps others. The bill was way to high for what we got. Be forewarned!

Tunbridge Wells has a number of restaurants, but we have often found it difficult to consistently get decent food at a reasonable price. Each time we've been to Don G, we've left with a feeling of satisfaction. The last time we visited, it was quiet, (thus echoing some of the other reviews here), but service, food and wine were all good. There were 4 of us, and all enjoyed our choices, which were selected across the menu range.

We believe that your dining experience with us starts the moment you walk through our door. A friendly greeting from our front of house team, lead by co-owner Andy Urbanek and Manager Simon Moore. The Poet offers a vast selection of craft gins, handpicked
The tasting menu with the wine flight is not the cheapest night out, but it makes a special occasion even more special. The food quality and presentation is exceptional. The service is friendly, attentive and informative without being overbearing or pretentious. The Poet may be a pub, but this is top restaurant food and service.

A full English for me and a panini for the hubby (it was brunch time!). My substantial brekkie all came piping hot with toast and was delicious. Hubby said his panini was lovely. Would definitely recommend and go again if in Tunbridge Wells.
