My first visit with friends to this superb new restaurant in Tilff. We received a very warm welcome from the personnel. Impeccably clean and the decor has a very light and cosy atmosphere. The service and food excellent in all aspects. Very refined menu and a 'no rush' attitude. There is a small garden patio at the back of the dining room which is agreeable to look at. Cannot fault this restaurant, my first visit but will definitely be back

This is the best restaurant in Spa, so I hope you get to eat there. It is a two person operation as far as I could tell.... husband and wife. Service was utterly professional and caring. Then came the food. The fish courses were exceptionally creative and delicious. But the wild-caught roasted quail (with buckshot) was simply superb. I do wish that Belgian restaurants would be a bit more generous with veggies but whatever.

We have had the chance to discover this tremendous restaurant last Friday eve. Honestly we were really impressed by the quality of both the food and the service. Tomatoes from the garden, fish from Brittany, veg, king crabe, mellow cake... so many dishes! No mistakes! We will come back there asap! Best place to visit!

Outside of the city of Maastricht is this beautiful castle. In the evening you are welcomed by a lot of candles lining the pathways to the castle nestled close to the marl caves. After an aperitive in the wine cellars, which I don’t think is optimal for the wines, we had a menu in the restaurant. Good service and original with a lot of attention for the “mise en place”. Salmon with nori, garlic, quinoa and sambai started with a Japanese touch. Grouper in a Mediterranean way and duck with ras-el-hanout both followed before a chocolate delicacy completed the meal.Dear Maurits, Yes you can have a Conference meeting in a lot of unique locations but a ten minutes drive to our location and into another world is a chance you will find only in Maastricht. We visited this restaurant as a conclusion to our holidays. We arrived 15 minutes before opening hours, but were welcomed nonetheless. Although the hostess did not speak english fluently (and we aren't that good at speaking french), she was very friendly and we managed to get a good understanding of what was on the menu. We had tartar and raw codfish for starters, pork tenderloin as a main course and a cheese platter and a selection of chocolate dishes as desert. All were excellently prepared and looked wonderful. Although we didn't take the full wine arrangement, we were not disappointed by the couple of glasses we ordered ourselves. When we asked for a napkin to take home the mini brownie and mini muffin that came with our coffee, we got a little plastic container and even some additional pieces without having asked for it. A wonderful piece of service that concluded a very nice night out.

We really enjoy this restaurant and we go there regularly. The food is really good but the only problem sometimes, is that it can be quite noisy. It really depends on which table you are. Anyway, I definitely recommend this restaurant, but don't forget to reserve in advance. As it isn't big, it might be difficult to get a table on the last minute.

Great food presented in the beautifully converted former forge. Marsha the proprietress is a delightfully welcoming and unstuffy hostess who makes you feel at home and helps translate the menu, and her partner Thomas is a talented chef. We went for the 4 course tasting menu. 3 tasty little amuses-bouches were followed by high quality dishes - a lovely plaice fillet served with fennel in orange and a mini seafood "soup", a fabulous asparagus dish built on a bed of beurre noisette, pigeon breast and leg in a lovely gin-based sauce, and to finish a delightful chocolate and coffee melange with lovage flavoured brittle. With aperitifs, wine, coffee and a rum (for myself) the bill came to €150, which is good value for such high quality food. If in this area do pay La Menuiserie a visit!!

Been here 5 times now.First time for business, 40 people, fixed menu... was ok, far too much on the plates...2nd an 3rd solo, with a colleague... very nice meal, good wines, lovely settings... Nice enough to invite my wife and friends...That time, crashed an burned... service not ok, lots of errors in the bill, took forever to rectify and very agressive waitress who blaimed us for her mistakes... I thought: never again. Don't know why I came back today... the open kitchen and BBQ, the very modern interior in an industrial setting... glad I did... nice meal, nice glass of wine, good espresso. Nice for lunch, very original settings and menu... you should try it... let me know what you think.
