When we were in Bad Staffelstein we wanted to visit a typical German restaurant and we came across this one. It was a perfect choice - the food was amazing and so were the people and the atmosphere! If we ever go to Bad Staffelstein again, we will surely eat here :)

Following the recommendation from a good friend we have visited the Rocus 3 weeks ago while staying in a Hotel in the nearby city of Bamberg. Given that we are from Hong Kong it´s safe to say that we are Foodies and quite spoiled in that regard. What we experienced at the Rocus was on par with the best experiences we had in Asia which was a very pleasant surpise to us!We opted for the Menu together with Wine from the extensive and rather Spain focused Wine Menu and where not dissapointed as the menu was creative, beautifully presented and of excellent value. Overall a very pleasurable experience we definitely recommend if you like fine dining in an elegant but casual ambiente.

The restaurant is right in the center of Bad Staffelstein next to the city tower. Very nice 'old-style' atmosphere. Service was friendly and fast. The food was delicious in a kind of 'home-made' style - I can highly recommend the grilled trout served with horseradish, potatoes and salad. Everything was ultra fresh and crispy. Great value for money,

Am 26.05. war ich in Schleichers Brauerei in Kaltenbrunn. Alles war super vorbereitet. Perfekte Küche. Sehr gut! Das Bier ist lecker. Ich mag das Rauchbier am liebsten. Wenn man im Itzgrund ist sollte man sich Schleicher nicht entgehen lassen!

Wieder mal auf dem Heimweg in's ferne Schwaben hier eingekehrt. GroÃartige Bio-Käseplatte und die Ostheimer Fleischterrine mit schmackhaftem Brot gekostet. Gutes Bier, sehr schöner Bio Silvaner und eine herrlich entspannte Atmosphäre im Gastgarten. Der TÃV sollte zwar besser weg schauen, Eltern und Kinder lieben aber die Spielmöglichkeiten im "wilden" Garten. Glaubt man gar nicht, dass es so etwas schönes heute im Jahr 2017 noch gibt!
