Primary highlight was a fat cat who was hell bent on getting into the restaurant and who can blame him. Persistence and stealth paid off, much to the consternation of waiting staff who tried to catch him. Entertainment aside this was a great dining experience. Getting a really good meal in Moldova can be hit and miss, but this was first class. Plenty of local dishes on the menu but also a nod to other European cuisine. All hearty comfort food: braised shin of beef was outstanding and the coq au vin as good as anything you'd find in France. All beautifully presented with a great selection of wines. Outside the temperatures were hovering above freezing and the sky overcast, but I reckon this is a cracking venue during the summer months to eat outside in the grounds.

In the corner of Uprising Street and Lenin Street, this little café tries very hard to be western and Bourgeois. Trying for 19th century style with 90s pop ballads might be a wee bit over the top. But still. This is a nice place and a place definitly unique in Europes last soviet republic.Coffee is good, food is ok and the staff is very nice and speaks reasonable english. Then again, there is a menu in english, so you can always point your way through to your eggs and bacon...And after all: All you need is Love

We went to the restaurant for the dinner and some drinks. Good quality of food for really great price. Friendly staff, rich menu. Good location right on the main boulevard, approximately 10 minutes of walk from main tourist attractions.I recommend to visit the place while staying in Tiraspol.

We had seen a flyer for this venue which very much markets itself as a piece of living history. It is situated on the first floor, that's if your in the UK, second floor otherwise, of the old bus station in Bender. This station only now caters for the minibus style local transport. However, the bus station interior looks as if in 1992 people just got up and walked away. The canteen is quite small but does exactly what it says on the tin. It still provides good food at dirt cheap prices. It is very popular with locals and was quite crowded when we went in but managed to find a table to eat our really good soup and bread which was washed down with the old soviet fruit squash my wife had a bottle of water which was the most expensive thing we bought but it was still amazing value. Further the décor has old Soviet era memorabilia displayed and is popular with Russian soldiers who have their barracks nearby.
