A very nicely located restaurant directly at the bank of the Tegernsee. The menu is very limited at noontime, more like a snackbar - but the terrace is fantastic.We enjoyed the Finschgerl with roastbeef, very tasty.Parking is really difficult, coming as a pedestrian is recommended.We had to order the coffee twice - but service is very friendly !

Unfortunately cannot judge the food in this Cafe. We were consequently ignored by waiters passing by. After 15 min, hungry and disappointed we left. It wasnât full. BTW People at the next table received not what they have ordered. Cafe is located in a beautiful house, it has a nice garden and it is really a pity that we felt unwelcome.Dear guests,we are sorry we couldnât fulfill your expectations regarding your visit at our Westerhof-Cafe im Stieler-Haus. We are awfully sorry and please apologize for such a disappointing experience. Please give us the possibility, explaining how this could have happened. Especially on Sundays it can get suddenly busy for our service staff as they have to take care of our guests on both, our wintergarden and terrace. As even in busy times our biggest aim is to serve our guests freshly made coffees and dishes a few minutes can pass by before we are ready to serve our guests one after another. Since you left after 5-10 minutes we unfortunately did not have the chance to let you witness our friendly and professional customer service. We warmly invite you to another visit to convince you that usually at our Westerhof-Cafe the beautiful setting of the building goes hand in hand with customer-orientated service and obliging staff. I just dropped-in, walking the street in search for a good place for dinner with me and my book on a dark October evening.... and Macksâl turned out to be an excellent choice for all factors important to me: ambiance (modern while cosy, mix of local guests and few tourists (like me)), choice of food (limited items but all very well prepared and very tasty) selection of wine by the glass and - certainly a highlight: friendliness and swiftness of service and kitchen. All that at fair prices, you canât ask for more!I can only recommend the place! Thank you for making that evening such a pleasant experience!

We are vacationing from the US and friends from Germany brought us here. We ate a meat and cheese tray and took a lot of cheese home with us to enjoy in the US. The cheese was excellent and enjoyed the video of how it was made.
