Our concierge recommended Barbudo and we headed there on the 2nd night of our trip to Cap Cana. What an amazing experience. The restaurant is cozy and the staff very professional. The restaurant owner came over to our table to help us order. We had heard about the lamb shoulder, so we ordered that along with an off-the-menu pasta he recommended. The lamb shoulder was one of the best dishes I have ever had anywhere in the world and the simple spicy pasta was the perfect accompaniment. The lamb itself was more than large enough for two people. It is roasted for 48 hours, I think, and surrounded by crispy roasted vegetables. For dessert, we had the chocolate mousse and it was excellent. We enjoyed Barbudo so much, we went there 2 more times during our vacation. While we had the lamb shank once more, we also tried other things on the menu and they were excellent. One dish we highly recommend is the tuna with onion jam. It is unusual and delicious. All of the food is comfort food of the highest quality and cooked perfectly. And the mojitos were fresh and perfect.The owner was friendly and even took us over to show us his art gallery nearby. Went with family of 10 covering 3 generations. Elegant setup and was unsure whether little kids could handle it but they had a childrenâs menu and we got them some quick food and everything after that went well- very good service and food for all.

Definitely more options than Gabi Club. They also use very good quality foods. But options are limited, and sometimes same items (especially deserts) are present for multiple meals. Service is great and like the servers there.

Cheury provided fabulous service! He made sure we were satisfied with all the food choices we made! The food was fabulous! We had ceviche, puqueo, Tacu Tacu pobre. He refilled our water bottles, laughed with us, told us about local events, and just just made sure we enjoyed our restaurant experience.
