Kortenberg (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈkɔrtə(m)bɛr(ə)x]) is a Belgian municipality located in the province of Flemish Brabant, about halfway between the cities of Brussels and Leuven. The municipality comprises the subdivisions or deelgemeenten of Erps-Kwerps, Everberg, Kortenberg proper and Meerbeek. On January 1, 2013 Kortenberg had a total population of 19,393. The total area is 34.52 km² which gives a population density of about 562 inhabitants per km². In the southern part of Everberg there is also a hamlet called Vrebos, while between Erps-Kwerps and Meerbeek there is another hamlet called Schoonaarde, which can be found in the proximity of the train station of Erps-Kwerps.

My wife and I come here regularly with our daughter. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. The steak is recommended as it is cooked just how you like it and is so tender.The new menu has many other delights for you to try. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to sample the delights of Sicilian cooking at La Perla. Well done to Ivan, Roberta and Ben. This is a little gem, tucked away at the corner of a market square. The attention to detail is reflected in the decorations and is emphasised by the top quality of the food. Even the lunch we tried today is of an exceptional authentic level. This lovely restaurant is located in a small village outside of Brussels near the airport. The only reason we knew about it was because we were taken there by friends who live nearby. Clearly, you have lots of choices for restaurants in Brussels or Leuven, but this is a small town restaurant that is worth visiting. The atmosphere was very pleasant inside a beautifully restored centuries old farm building. The servers were knowledge about issues related to food allergies and they were friendly and attentive. Our party had a mixture of meals ranging from vol au vent, to steak, cod, and pasta. Everyone was delighted with their meals. If you have to travel between cities, plan to take this place in for dinner. If you want a change from a city core, head to this wonderful restaurant that feels like it is in the countryside even though it is close to the city.
