Star Rose was recommended by a friend, but on arrival, another customer mentioned that it had changed owners frequently. There was a lot of food in each dish, but the sauces and spices were not well done. It seemed quite busy - but I was not impressed at all. Too bad.

Dingy dining room, half the light bulbs burned out and there is a freezer in the dining room? The service was AWFUL! The owner/server didn't speak much English and she got my order wrong. The food was WORSE! I typically eat my entire meal, I couldn't get through 5 bites and stopped it was so bad. Rubbery texture to the chicken, if that's what it was, vegetables not coked well and sweet and sour was neither. The water glass was dirty and the water warm. I didn't bother with it.I paid cash, handed her a $20 bill and she said she didn't have change. I told her that was her problem and I wasn't giving her ANY tip because she is an OWNER, besides, everything was just AWFUL! She said I had to go find change, I suggested she call the police because I wasn't doing her job. She somehow magically found change in the till. Even then she got it wrong and tried to give herself a $3 tip. I argued with her until she gave me the right change. Then she refused to give me a receipt saying the cash register didn't work. Funny, she just opened it to find change?I should have checked this place out ahead of time with Niagara Health Info-Dine website and I would have known better not to bother going here. They have had a lot of infractions and a shutdown.Needless to say, I'd never go near this place again!

Fast and friendly service for takeout. Food is standard Cantonese Chinese, but a very convenient location for the east side. Discount for cash. Most business seems to be be takeaway, with few diners on the premises.

Kimono's is a 16 year old establishment that is still being run by it's proud owner David Lai, with his family's support, Kimono's has prospered into one of Welland's finest Chinese restaurants.
First and last time for this restaurant. Ordered take out, over $60. Food was terrible, dried out and tasteless. Won ton soup like dishwater, noodles stale, chow mein dry, over cooked. Even egg rolls and spring rolls beyond edible. Must have been a slow Saturday night, so filled order from aged buffet. Most disgusting excuse for Chinese food I have ever experienced. Future of this establishment seriously doubtful unless an immediate intervention by someone who knows how run a Chinese food kitchen to prepare and has concern for how meals leave the kitchen. They blew it this time and frankly I donât believe a second chance is warranted.

Stopped in for a bite last week. The food was good. Portions are huge so be mindful (dinner for two combo feeds 4).Nobody else dining in the restaurant but lots of take out orders. Interior of restaurant needs a facelift but place is clean. Staff is very nice as well.If youre hungry, give them a call.

Total order for take out was $46.07, fast preparation, which leads to my end results. Cantonese Chow Mein was exactly that, frozen bagged veggies along with ramen noodles, it consisted of minimal meats and about 5 shrimp 36/45 size. Dry as well. Egg rolls and spring rolls both house made but lacked flavour, Egg rolls were mostly beansprouts and spring rolls vice versa with cabbage. Honey garlic ribs seemed breaded and fattier than normal, sauce was good though. Chicken balls were the only good thing about this experience, so much as too I didn't even taste the sweet and sour wontons. How this place has survived financially is beyond me. Will not go to or recommend to anybody, Save your money and time.

We order from here often and mostly the combination plates or the Beef Fried Udon, or Won Ton Soup! Very clean, prompt friendly service! Prices are great and portions are excellent! Extensive on-line menu. Available for eat in as well, however not a fancy place and we live close by. Never disappointed in anything new we try and always enough for leftovers or sharing! Great place if youâre in the mood for Asian cuisine.
