As big fans of Hisa Franko we were eager to try this place they recently opened. Great casual (pub) atmosphere with outstanding food. Had starters of: 'English Roast Beef' which is really an excellent take on carpaccio - super tender and excellent; and salad with local cheese. For mains the 'shepards plate' which is definitely worth a try (sharing best) and the local dumplings with lamb ragout - both really excellent. And desert may have been THE best 'Kobariski Strukelj' which are small dumplings filled with walnut 'paste' and covered in brown butter and a bit of brown sugar. They have a great selection of local craft beers as well as wines - many from same makers that Hisa Franko offers. Definitely eat here if you are in Kobarid.

They we're so slow we had to pay for drinks and go for another restaurant since we we're not able to order food for at least 20 minutes and the place was only half full.

Very friendly & helpful staff. They welcomed us with an excellent pair of bycicles and a comprehensive explanation of hiking & bycing paths of surrounding areas. Exciting view on surrounding Soci river. Very friendly pony "Domino", it likes carrots & cucumbers..

Good service (super friendly people that speak also Italian) in a slightly aged structure (i.e. Bathroom and room in general). As far as food goes...nothing that takes your breath away but I would say it is an ok food offer.

In the middle of tolmin is this restaurant with a nice interior and nice terrace. The waitress which served us is just how a waitress should be. Kind, friendly, funny and professional. She did great. The kalamaris as starter tasted really good and the calzone and pizza kebab as well. Drinks are good and for that quality really cheap. If you go to tolmin you should eat here.

We went for lunch. I ordered Cordon blue. I received a scalop with a small slice of ham. I told that to the waiter. After a minute appear a rude and violent cook from the kitchen and started to scream that I offended him. We should leave because he started to be very aggressive and puted his hands in the plate.What a scary experience.

We stopped here on the way back from the Tolmin Gorge, nice setting with tables outside and inside. Service is ok and food ok, not fantastic but nice. Pleasant atmosphere and beautiful view outside.
