Pleasant atmosphere at their new location on York. A small plate restaurant, it is designed for sharing and multiple dishes. Very nice choices, the food is thoughtfully designed, carefully prepared and nicely presented. The result is a flavour experience. Only criticisms would be that plates could be larger and the server needs a bit of instruction on proper wine service. Very much enjoyed our dinner. Thank you so much for coming in and for leaving a thoughtful review. We are happy that you enjoyed the atmosphere and food. We took your comments on wine service, provided to us privately, to our staff and will ensure that we improve in this regard.

Their eggs benedict are not only delicious but huge! They have large slices of real cured ham, eggs are cooked to perfection and the hollandaise sause is plentiful and perfect! Suggest having their grilled real potatoes with onions! The owner and waitress are so nice. It feels like being home! Even jukeboxes at the tables with the oldies for old times sake. Highly recommend and were going back this week! Bon Appetit!

I was on vacation visiting family in Fredericton when I was told about a Keto friendly bistro pub in downtown Fredericton. The 540 Kitchen is a wonderful eating experience whether you are on a Keto diet or not. The food is fresh, bright and full of flavour. We started with the steak tartare, dozen fresh oysters and the main was a perfectly cooked ribeye with vegetables. Even though Iâm sure fries would have been good, more veggies meant more steak.If you are looking for a nice place for dinner with friends or family you cannot miss with the 540 Kitchen. Our server Graig was pleasant and helped navigate the modest but tasty menu.

This place was one of several possibilities suggested by our host. We liked the look of the menu so booked it.The menu is predominately Italian, but wider than that. My wife had the grilled salmon while I had the rack of lamb. Both were perfectly cooked (including my medium-rare lamb) with good accompaniments. Service was attentive and very good.Overall, a very good meal, and a place that we can recommend.

I ordered the liver dinner. It is often somethig I order when eating out. The plate looked great but upon tasting the liver, I was very disappointed. It didn't just have a little extra salt on it; it tasted like the whole salt shaker was on it. I don't think anyone could eat it with this much salt.I told the waitress and she asked if I wanted something else as they were all out of liver. I said no but ate the fried potatoes and carrots that came with it. I was only charged fo my tea.Hi Quincy,Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Our sincerest apologies, through human error we did over season your liver. Typically we do a rock-star Liver (hence being sold out) after we made an error with yours. I am happy to hear that you were not only offered a different dish (which you declined) but we took full responsibility by removing your meal from the bill. We searched for a restaurant in our neighborhood and we wanted to try something different than always the same burger etc. So we found this restaurant. And it was a lucky reach! It started with the greeting and seating. Very friendly and personal. Also the restaurant itself is lovely decorated. Feeling like in the Carribbean. The food was great :D Very delicious, spicy and a good sized portion.The owner of the restaurant is also a very enjoyable person and also is interested in you. If you're looking for an upscale seafood dining experience with a cozy environment, look no further. The food was amazing! Seafood Fettuccine was delicious! Mountains of fresh seafood, and cooked to perfection. Plated superbly. Service was equally amazing. Make reservations though. They have a small dining area that fills quickly.

We arrived a 6 on a Tuesday with no reservation and were seated without problem in the bar area. Although there were no Lager or Pilsner on the menu, I managed to find a nice liquid appetizer.I started with the cesaar salad. Not exactly inspiring but it was a great size. The croutons were brutal and should be a little more artisan so it isn't so boring.I had the striploin with a surprise side of onion rings/strips. Very tasty and well presented. Ask for the onion rings as it's not on the menu but seems to be an additional side you can get for a $2 premium.The wine list was a tad sparse and I couldn'f find anything I red I even wanted to try.My dining companion had the ribs and said he loved them.Hi flingwing,Thank you very much for your review. Stopped at Sphinx on our way to the Bay of Fundy. Had to eat quickly because of the schedule and the restaurant was very accommodating to our needs. Service was excellent! Lentil soup and shawarma was amazing. Samosas were unexpected with feta and olives, but very tasty! It was so good we planned our return from Cape Breton so we could stop again for lunch and enjoy our meal.
