This is a very nice cafe in a terrific location in downtown Potsdam! Lots of atmosphere and history! They offer great food and drinks. That being said, the service stinks. It took forever to order (I had to flag someone down to take our order), they messed up the drink order and were fairly rude about it. The food arrived at the same time as the drink finally did. No one followed up to see if anything else was needed. Trying to pay was a huge task! The staff acted as if they were bothered to take our money and then seemed upset when they did not receive a tip! (Keep in mind, tipping in Germany is not mandatory as it is in the USA.)It is too bad the service was so horrible, as it took away from the really good food.

Ich liebe dieses kleine Cafe nahe der Fähre. Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sympathische Bedienung und ein wunderbares Frühstück mit Lachs und Rührei, frischem Obst und sensationellem Espresso!!! Lasse die nächste Fähre aus und bleibe noch ein Weilchen...

... aber leider nachvollziehbar sind die Gründe warum das Hagemeister am 30.09. schlieÃt ... Ich sitze im schönen Garten und genieÃe den leckeren Flammkuchen mit Räucherlachs und lausche den unsichtbaren Vögeln ... Die Bedienung ist toll und wird sicherlich schnell einen sehr guten Job finden und die Betreiberin wird hoffentlich in anderer, vielleicht kleinerer Form irgendwann weitermachen ... Dieses gastronomische Kleinod wird Werder fehlen ...

Popped in here during a business trip to Potsdam for an early(ish) breakfast. The food was delicious- I had a delightful quiche that came with a tasty side salad. They also had lots of different types of eggs, sausages, cheese breakfasts, etc. on the menu to choose from. The owner was very friendly and was very kind to translate the menu for me to English. Looking forward to coming back!

Das Cafe Gartenglück war die Empfehlung einer anderen Lokalinhaberin, auf die Frage, wo man hier gut frühstücken kann. Die 15 km entgegen meinem weiteren Reiseziel haben sich gelohnt. Ein super Frühstück im Glashaus. Alles frisch und in sehr guter Qualität. Preis Leistung stimmen. Die Servicekräfte sind sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Unbedingt reservieren, sonst gibt es womöglich keinen Platz.

Wir waren vor Kurzem zum zweiten Mal im Fliederhof und erneut begeistert. Das Essen ist hervorragend, der Service persönlich und schnell und es gibt für die Kleinen viele Ecken zum Spielen und Gucken, inkl. Trampolin, Buddelkasten, Kaninchen und Spielwiese. Der Avocado/Mangosalat ist eine Sensation - vielen, vielen Dank und wir werden sicher wieder vorbeischauen ;-)
